Suzy was the smartest kitty I have ever met. I'm sure she understood every word ever said to her. She didn't wear collars - she wore necklaces. And she always had to strut around showing off a new one. She always had safety necklaces and one was too easily released and she soon found she could pull on it and take it off. This was an accomplishment of which she was very proud. Being the helpful kitty that she was, she thought she could help me remove my necklaces the same way and took to tugging at any necklace I wore. Funny that when I replaced her necklace with one that worked as it should, she stopped trying to remove mine!
She was a big fan of Christmas and on Christmas Eve we could tell her that Santa was coming and she'd run to the window as if she knew to watch! And she loved to open her presents the next morning (with a tiny bit of assistance!) and treasured everything Santa brought her.
She lived a very full and happy 20 plus years and will be missed always. For a little cat, she sure left a huge empty spot.
