We haven't been active on Catster because we don't really like the new interface, but we miss our old friends on Catster and hope you are doing well. I have been doing great healthwise. I seem to be thriving on my all protein/pumpkin diet. I have to take miralax and cisapride to help me poo regularly, but I do once a day and my poos are great. So mom is happy that after many many years of health problems I've been doing so well for so long. She doesn't like having to give me meds, but I can't eat the canned food with carbs in it, and all protein does have a tendency to stop you up. The days of eating entire mice and birds, bones and all, are over for us domestic cats! So our diets are pretty out of wack. The biggest no no is giving cats dry cat food: yuck too many icky ingredients in that stuff! Bleah. We also considered a homemade diet and tried many variations, and we considered a raw diet, but in the end, those can be tricky diets as you have to get the vitamin ratios just right.

My new favorite game is playing with a Whole Foods water box that is open on one end. It has strategically placed handle holes and I can walk into it just like it is a little cat house. We love to play stick the banana in the strategic hole (oooh that doesn't sound good, does it?), but anyway, I love trying to retrieve the catnip banana and I'm never sure in which little opening it might appear! Keeps me guessing!

Other than that, life has been good. I am my usual lovable self and I get up to my usual hijinks. I always look forward to playing with the string before bedtime. And I love to snooze next to mom all night long. Sometimes I wake her up in the middle of the night by walking all over her which she doesn't appreciate so much. The best strategy for waking up a human is to stick your face right in their face: whiskers are a great tool -- they tickle the heck out of the humans and they wake right up! Works like a charm!!
