Bio:
Hi, my name is Bella P. Kitty. I like to go by “P-Kitty”. I recently asked my human parents what the “P” meant and they said it meant Penelope. Penelope is a nice name, but I think P-Kitty is a lot cooler. Anyway, I guess I should tell you about myself. I wish I could tell you about my cat parents, being a kitten, and playing with my brothers and sisters. The problem is, I really don’t remember. So I’ll start out with what I remember. About a year and a half ago I was on the street. I ended up by this guy’s house and he took me in. As luck would have it, he was a cat lover whose mother worked at an animal shelter. He took me in and got me checked out. They could tell that I was a house cat because of the way I was acting. They also figured out that I must have recently gotten on the streets because I was still pretty healthy looking. The bad news was that I had a kidney infection. I guess that would explain why I wasn’t feeling so good. Also, they found out that I had a bb in my tail that had been there for a long time. I guess at some point when I was younger, I got shot with it and it’s still there. It’s a good thing I don’t remember that, I bet that was real painful for me. Anyway, I got my kidney infection taken care of and since the bb wasn’t bothering me they decided to leave in my tail. Now that I was all healthy, I needed to find a permanent home. Don’t get me wrong my foster dad was real nice, but he had other cats and I need my own space. My foster dad put my picture up on a bulletin board at his job to see if anyone would want to adopt me. It didn’t take long for someone to show interest. I mean come on, look at that face I have. Lol, just kidding. Anyway, the lady who would turn out to be my new mommy jumped on the opportunity to give me a good home and started the adoption process. Before the process was done, another lady said that I was hers. I was thinking great, maybe I could scratch her eyes out for letting me get shot with a bb. I was just kidding about that last part, but I wasn’t really ready to go back to a house that was so bad I took my chances out on the street. I went to the ladies home and all I kept thinking was, “I don’t belong here.” I tried to say that to the people but I’m just a cat, so no one listened. The ladies husband was the one who finally said, “that’s not our cat.” Then I said, “well, duh. I’ve been saying that for the last 3 hours.” Normally going back to a foster family would be disappointing to a cat, but I knew that I had another person waiting for me. I was just hoping it wasn’t too late. The next day, my foster dad came home and told me the good news. I was going to be adopted by the nice lady he kept telling me about. Now I didn’t know this lady but if my foster dad liked her, I knew I would like her too. So the next day I said goodbye to my foster dad, got into my little travel case, and I was off to my new home. My foster dad and my new mommy met up at a gas station. There were two people there. One was my new mommy and the other was my new daddy. Now I’m thinking wow, I’m going to have two new parents instead of one. That was a nice surprise. I got to my new home, and really liked it. It was an apartment that was the right size for one cat. I had plenty of room to patrol, and also had some nice places to hide when I wanted to be alone. They had my food and litter box setup, toys, and a cozy condo. You can see the cozy condo in the picture. That’s my favorite thing in the house. To end my bio, I think I have a pretty good life now. I’m glad that I don’t remember what happened to me before I was found on the street. As far as I’m concerned, my life started when my foster dad took me in. I truly believe that the cat gods were watching over me, and I was meant to be with the family I’m with now. I mean think about it, I was found on the street in front of someone’s house whose mother happened work at an animal shelter, and got me back to good health. Then that person knew another person who was looking to give a cat a good home. Even when it didn’t work out and I ended up with that other family, the cat gods found a way to put me with the right mommy and daddy. My new family is always telling me that I’m a part of the family now, and that they will never give me up for anything. When they say that, I truly believe them. No matter what happens now in my life, I know I will always have a family that will love and take care of me for the rest of my days.

Momma's Surprised Look

GUESS WHAT???! My momma bought me a brand new suede comforter!! She keeps telling everyone that it’s her new comforter set, but I know she bought it especially for me. Boy when I saw her take it out the big shiny plastic case I could hardly contain myself. But as you know since I am a cat I had too play it cool. I watched her take such care and pride when she made MY bed. She made sure that the pillows (also suede I might add) were placed just how I like them...so I can prop up and see what’s going on. Well anyways, I thought she would never get finished with my bedroom. She was ironing curtains, and putting those matching covers over the windows that looked just like my comforter. I was in the hallway trying to tell her that she didn’t have to make such a fuss for little ole me, but she would not hear of such. She then started dusting…I said “forget it” I am going to get on my new comforter. You should have seen the look of surprise on my mommas face as I rolled around on my new comforter. I will never forget the look. I guess she wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not. Who could not like SUEDE??!! Well time for another nap since momma is at work. Dang! the door is closed to my new comforter…momma must have forgotten about me as she left for work. No worries I like her bed too it will work in a pinch.

Well paw out until a new day.

The New House

Oh my…I am loving this new house. Well it’s not necessarily new anymore we’ve been here since August, but it seems new to me. Now that the weather is nice I can’t get enough of this screened in porch. Mom is so sweet, she lets me get comfy in her wicker chair and take naps as long as want. But it’s one thing I don’t understand, for some strange reason when she is ready to go to bed she thinks I need to come in too. I know that she sees me sleeping in the chair but nooooooo.. here she comes calling my name. You would think when I ignore her she would get the hint that I am not interested in coming inside. So guess what I DON”T MOVE. But she can’t take that hint either. That’s when she come out and pick me up and take me inside. I guess I don’t mind since she gives me a treat. But that’s ok I need to be inside anyway so I can wake her up at 5:30am…. Hehehehe… Life is great!

My owners keep telling me to put something in here, but I don’t know what to say. I’m a cat. My job description is eating and sleeping, not writing. But my owner says I need to write at least 200 words or I won’t get my treats. Which I think is pretty mean, but what can a cat do. So here is my diary entry. My topic is going to be things I hate. Guess what’s on the top of my list. You got it, writing. Let me see how many words I’m at. Only 95. Wow, it feels like I’ve written more than that. Anyway, back to the topic. It’s not like I have anything against writing, it’s just that I’M A CAT. You never hear of a cat on the New York Times bestsellers list for a reason. It’s not fair that I’m being blackmailed into writing a diary entry. Believe me I wouldn’t do it, but those treats are so darn good. I get Whisker Lickin’s. All those cats out there know what I’m talking about. Let me see how many words I’m at now. Okay, I’m at 192. I’m almost done. There is one thing I do want to say before I’m done. I want to thank all the cats that have become my friends. It’s nice knowing that I’ve been accepted into the Catster community. I’m at 232, so now I’m going to tell my owners that I’m done so I can get my treats. Talk to everyone later.

I had to come back and share this. I went to my owner and she said she was kidding about not giving me treats. I think I see another alarm clock diary entry in her future.

Ciao Meow!
