Arrival Story:
Well, I had just moved into an apartment and my cat, Felix had lived for 7 yrs with my mom's cat, Felicity who stayed with my parents. So, he was all alone and Id been thinking about maybe adopting a kitten friend for him. Well, one day I wandered into Petsmart with Brock to get bunny food, and a local no-kill cat shelter was there with a booth and a few of their avaliable cats. As soon as I saw Linus (then named "Mr. Wiggles") I was captivated by his good looks. I then saw he was in a cage with 2 other cats and was content as could be. He & his 2 cage mates were the only ones there who were unphased by Brock's presence! I read his description and it said he was playful, and young, and (obviously) good with other cats & dogs, so.. I adopted him! I actually didnt realize they were going to let me take him home right then, and this was a bit of a whim, but he has turned out to be the perfect cat for my situation. His former family surrendered him to a kill shelter in Spokane because they had to move. It came his time for euthanasia and OASIS for animals stepped in and rescued him. I dont understand how anyone would give this cat up, no matter what the situation.

Bio:
Linus is super chill, curious and calm in new situations, out-going, loves people, is constantly demanding attention. He is a LOVER and is obsessed with HANDS. If you arent petting him, he will find a hand and "pet" himself by rubbing all over it. If you hide your hands he gets very confused! He is also very playful and silly, even at 7 yrs old. He is always accepting of any new cats that come along, (and 5 have come along since I adopted him!), including our many fosters. But he is also a little bossy sometimes and has "his" areas that he rules in the house. He is never aggressive, but I learned from him the importance of SPACE and excess litter boxes for multi-cat homes! Linus has a beautiful, thick, plush coat, and you can vaguely see little white booties on his feet. But he sheds a LOT for having short hair because it is SO thick. He is a big cat and looks fat but he is not! He became a bit soft after being neutered, but now he is perfect for squeezing. ;) Though he does like to eat and if I'm not careful he will steal the other cat's portions and has had to go on a few diets! ***********NOTE: Our kitties are 100% indoor cats, that sometimes get *fully supervised* trips into the backyard to explore. Growing up we always had cats, but because they were indoor/outdoor cats, none of them ever lived more than a year before disappearing or dying. One of them was hit by a car and LIVED miraculously but needed extensive surgery, and also contracted 2 illnesses outdoors, one that she will have for life. I also now have a dog that will kill cats, and now I have to keep him leashed in my own yard because our neighbor's cats hang out in our yard.
