Favorite Nap Spot:
my pillow, in the closet
any crunchy cat treats! but also "people" food
he's a pro lap warmer, and obsessive groomer (of himself, humans, our other cat, etc...)
Our previous kitten had been hit & killed by a car several months prior, (at only 8 months old). Pretty much my whole life we've always had a cat. We all loved & missed George dearly, and when my mom saw Felix she knew Id fall in love. He had been rescued by some kind driver, from the middle of a busy road. He was only about 3-4 months old at the time, and in very bad shape. I first met him in April, and went to visit him as often as possible until he was given a clean bill of health and was able to bring home that May.
Felix & I have a bond so strong that I cant even explain. He was a major scardey cat, but has 100% trust in me, and over the years has blossomed into a much more confident and outgoing cat (though still gets scared sometimes :)). Having earned that unwavering trust, especially from a cat as unsure about life as he was, is the highest honor a person could receive. I love him so much, dont know how I'll ever be able to live without him.
Felix is a lover, his favorite things are to be in a lap or on someone (he will sleep on my back if he has to), and LICKING. He is an obsessive licker of skin! He is also quite playful, loves Da Bird and the laser, and CATNIP, especially catnip stuffed fleece toys. He mostly just sleeps now in his old age, but will burst out into play here and there!
Felix is great with other cats, and LOVES all our foster kittens. He will groom them and snuggle with them, is very gentle but helps teach them good kitty manners. He is Grandpa Foo! ***********NOTE: Our kitties are 100% indoor cats, that sometimes get *fully supervised* trips into the backyard to explore. Growing up we always had cats, but because they were indoor/outdoor cats, none of them ever lived more than a year before disappearing or dying. One of them was hit by a car and LIVED miraculously but needed extensive surgery, and also contracted 2 illnesses outdoors, one that she will have for life. I also now have a dog that will kill cats, and now I have to keep him leashed in my own yard because our neighbor's cats hang out in our yard. PLEASE, it is not worth the risk, keep your cats INSIDE! http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Danger s-Outside---Turn-Your-Cat-into-an- Indoor-Only-Pet
