Arrival Story:
We adopted Loomis from a wonderful woman in Chicago who was running a small cat rescue. She got to know us and matched up Loomis to us. Loomis, she told us, had already been returned by a few other families. We learned quickly it was probably because she vomited after almost every meal. After many vet visits and (eventually) having all but one of her teeth removed (she gets to "one tooth" her food now), she is a much happier and well adjusted cat who rules the roost over our four cat household and likes to boss everybody around. We're very glad she decided to stick it out with us.
Bio:
Loomis was the first cat in her household-- her boy human had had cats before, but her girl human had not. That, combined with the fact that she would have to be an illegal kitty for her first few years, meant that she had to overcome some initial resistances to the idea of having a cat (on the part of her girl human). Mission Accomplished! She is now the queen bee of our home, and though she is not always convinced of the necessity of the three "babies" or interlopers who've joined her over the years, she does enjoy bapping them on the head when they've been bad.
