Arrival Story:
Back when I was in graduate school and had no cat, I would get my "cat fix" by cat sitting for my professors. One day when I went over to a professor's house, a tabby cat came up to me while I was in the driveway, and when I crouched down to say "hi", promptly climbed into my lap. My professor said she thought she was a lost or abandoned cat, since she had been coming around often. I decided to adopt her. Since my professor had called her "cute cat with tiny feet", I shortened the name to Ceecee.

Bio:
Ceecee was the most lap-loving cat I ever knew. She would wait for you to sit down so she could climb into your lap, and would complain loudly when you tried to get up and displace her, which was no small feat because she was a bit heavy and would cling as you stood up. She didn't discriminate between the laps of friends or strangers either. Ceecee was about 10 years old when she got kidney disease and went downhill quickly after that. We had to have her put to sleep two months before our wedding, and on our wedding day I wore her name tag attached to my garter as my "something borrowed".
