Scamper "Forever"

It is with a heavy heart that I write this entry, as today I said goodbye to my baby. She was an amazing kitty who brought so much joy to our lives. So many beautiful babies she delivered (two we still have), so many purrs that she soothed with, so much love she gave to anyone who asked. She was my 3rd calico to be names Scamper, and when we got her was around the time Batman Forever came out, so she gained the name Scamper Forever, and forever she will be in my heart. She took ill yesterday (Wednesday, August 17, 2011) when she was found in front of our dryer not moving. We took her to the vet who gave her a steroid shot thinking she had a stroke or a blood clot in her spine (she could not move her back leg). I took her home, and she would not eat. It was then I really began to worry. I knew if she was not better by Friday, I would have to say goodbye. She slept with me last night, with my arm around her waking up ever half hour to check on her. She began breathing heavier through the night. It was around 5 AM when I felt her take a jolt. By morning her breathing was so heavy, her eyes glossy and her whole body paralized. I could make her suffer no more, I prayed through the night for God to take her if she was suffering, but I think she held on for me.

Today I said goodbye, as she took her last breath. I will always hold her near and dear, as close as can be, to my heart.

Run free my sweet Scamper, and be sure to find our other babies who have gone before, I am sure they will take good care of you.

My meowie has nerve

I couldn't believe whatz my hoomin meowie said to me. She sayz " Scamperz u do know that u are a cat". How rudez iz that.

Da udder catz and I'ze have a probwem wif u meowmy. U brawght a twee in da howse and den tell uz we'ze can't climbz it. Den whenz we wantz to pway wif da ballz on da twee da udder hoomin getz mad. We'ze just callz her da b_ _ chiez onez. Alzo meowmy it'z not nize to laff at me'ez whenz I twy to climbz da stairz. Ize iz 15 andz a wittle over weightz.
