Arrival Story:
I fostered him from the shelter when he was a month old. He was so sweet, cuddly, and funny that I couldn't adopt him out. He had to stay with me!! My 22 year old cat had just passed away and Scooter reminded me of him in a lot of ways, in both looks and personality. Scooter helped me with that loss in a lot of ways.
Bio:
Scooter has cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological disorder. He also has additional brain damage. He isn't very bright and has trouble getting around, but very very sweet and full of personality. Scooter is the most AMAZING cat. It is very inspirational to see him achieve whatever he sets his mind to doing, despite his disabilities. He uses his paws like hands and can grab things, move things around, open cupboards, etc. He loves to wrap both his front legs around Mommy's arm in order to "hug" her. Everyone who meets Scootie falls in love with him. He is so irresistable!! One thing Scooter knows very well is his name. Whenever I call him, he comes RUNNING (well, stumbling) as fast as he can. Although sometimes it takes him a couple minutes to realize that I called him, but he will always come eventually. Scooter doesn't meow very much, but he makes his "Scootie noises" all the time. He chirps, purrs, and loves to talk to himself quietly all the time.
