I was in eighth grade when we decided to get a cat. We had two cats at the time, but we'd recently lost another. My family and I went to the ASPCA and found this tiny gray tabby kitten, and adored her. I'd had my heart set on a calico, but it was hard to resist Maggie. My dad was won over by her terra cotta nose.
