Arrival Story:
On October 9th, 2005 in blustery, rainy, North Eastern PA, John and I were standing in our neighbor's yard under the awning talking to them about this kitten who was left to wander the streets by neighbors. They were telling us that they were afraid she'd be hit by a car because they always saw her in the street. She'd been staying on their porch for weeks, looking in windows, crying to be let in and obviously hungry. As if on queue, this BEAUTIFUL green eyed fur ball, completely drenched and limping wandered into the back yard and came towards us crying. I knelt down and she immediately ran to me. I picked her up and she snuggled into my shoulder...of course I started crying right away because she was a complete bag of bones. It was only after I got her home that I found she had a huge abscess on her upper front leg that was weeping and hot to the touch. I got her to the vet (LOVE MY VET) that same day and she was tested, fixed up and she's been with me ever since. :) We love her lots.
