Quick Bio:

Likes:
Playing Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. Lovey-dovies up to any human being for lots of hugs and kisses but bullies other animals with stalkings and thwappings (and gets very miffed when it doesn't work on the dog).

Pet-Peeves:
Being told "no"; he always protests loudly in reply

Favorite Toy:
His unsuspecting sibling Isabeau

Favorite Nap Spot:
High up, where he can play either "otter" or "king of the jungle," hanging over a ledge

Favorite Food:
Anything that belongs to someone else

Skills:
He's very good at being forgiven. If he's scolded, he'll run toward the scolder for cuddles instead of away from them, miaowing about his innocence the whole time. He assumes any attention toward himself has got to mean something good.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Mokie was adopted from a rescue group after my first cat Cica passed away and my Kimba was desperately lost without a companion animal. Although Mokus looks like wise, quiet Cica (I promised myself to always live with a tabby boy in honor of Cica's memory), his personality is anything but!!! I should have known he'd be a rascal by his mischievous baby scamperings... Kimba was not impressed. But luckily Kimba fell in love with Jasmine the dog... and Mokus focussed on stealing the hearts of human beings instead.

Bio:
Mokus (pronounced MO-koosh) means "squirrel" in Hungarian... he was named that because he was a tiny scrawny runt with a rat face when I adopted him (his mother had chosen to stop feeding him and he'd had the hardest time surviving among his littersibs so my heart went out to him instantly). I was *assured* :-) he would never grow to be a big cat... but Mokus has a mind of his own -- and a neverending appetite for food and fun. He's now the biggest cat I've ever owned (although he's having to submit in great indignation to more monitored feedings), filled with self-confidence and a knowledge of his own gorgeousness, and he thinks he's the biggest member of the household. At least he constantly tells the dog that with lots of play-teasing and loud complaining. Jasmine of course isn't buying any of it. They often compete to be the one who gets to sit in my lap (it's hard to tell a basset hound she's not cat-sized when Mokus is egging her on). Mokus is extremely fond of being hugged and held and carried around. It's hard for him to leave human beings alone for very long... he usually bounces up next to someone to see if he can get hugs -- or sometimes to try to snag food on its way to a human mouth. In many ways he still acts as if he's the "runt" baby trying to "catch up" to his sibs in order to get more love and attention than anyone else. In spite of his baaaad pushy behavior, he is very loving and isn't taken very seriously by his doggy and kitty sisters.
