Arrival Story:
Hi! :) I'm Strawberry's mom, Linda. As you probably read, Strawberry is a rescue cat. Her mother showed up on my front porch one night in late summer. She was this beautiful, dark Tortie who was hugely pregnant. She was so, so sweet and gentle. When I opened my door, she walked right in and never left. I always intended on finding homes for all of them...I have asthma...but as time went on and they got bigger and bigger, I found that I wasn't quite as good at finding homes as I thought I would be. I had just about given up, and my heart was breaking, because I thought they would have to go to the pound. Then, I found Catster and knew that I had to try one more time. Strawberry is a sweet, sweet girl. She's very small and very pretty. She has this personality that just makes you want to love her, and protect her. Of all of the kittens, she was the shyest...but once you have her trust, she is just an angel. She's beautiful...very petite, with dark Tortie coloring, and huge hazel eyes. She has her mother's eyes. When I found her mother (or rather, she found me), I was taken in by those eyes...they reminded me of the moon...that's how she got her name, Moonfire. Strawberry needs a home with a family who will love her and cherish her. She needs to be protected and held. I really, really want to see her get adopted, and I'm not above begging. :) I love her, and I think that she was given a second chance at life when I found her mother...and it can't end with her being surrendered to that horrible place. She is three years old, will be spayed, and she is completely healthy. She has an adoption fee of $35, but I'll let it go for the perfect home. I'm willing to drive her to her new home. Anything it takes... I hope you'll think about her.

We are in Alabama. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance to get her to her forever home, though.
