Oh Christmas Tree... oh Christmas Tree... You belong to me!

I just got the update below from Freddie and Eddie's daddy. As you will read, they are thriving in their new home and very happy... though they need a diet a little.

"The boys are doing great. Freddie continues to grow and is bigger than Eddie now and I am not talking girth although they are about to have their daily intake amounts decreased to shed off any extra weight they are carrying.

Tried to decorate the Christmas tree this year but the boys had other plans. They kept knocking off the ornaments including those placed higher in the tree. They would climb up through the tree to get them. The tree had lights only this year. I put up my train under the tree as well but the boys kept knocking it off the tracks. They follow me everywhere. They wait for me outside the bathroom door when I am in there. I have been spoiling them and I think they have decided to work me as long as I’m willing to give in to them. They love their cat tree (especially Freddie) and they allow Steve to pet them when they are there. They are waiting for me when I get home. Eddie is the more vocal of the two but Freddie does his share. It’s always nice when they shut down for a while and sleep because it gives me a chance to get things done at home.



The boys have definitely settled in. I will have to take more pictures of them and forward to you soon. "

New Picture of Me and My Dad!

Foster mom and dad made a visit....!

Wow... what I surprise... My foster mom and dad made a visit to my forever home on Saturday afternoon. I was asleep in my bed and all of a sudden there foster mom was wanting to pick me up! I gave her a little snarl to let her know that she was distrubing me. Foster dad insists that I was letting my foster mom know that I didn't at all want to go back to her house (just in case she thought she was going to come and take me back to my foster home). But, I quickly found out that foster mom and dad were only stopping by to clip my nails. My dad doesn't yet feel comfortable clipping them so foster mom and dad have agreed to do it the first few times they need to be clipped. I behaved like a perfect gentleman while I was clipped. I got lots of pets from both foster mom and foster dad afterwards and foster mom gave me lots of kisses... THEN... my very own father got to hold me and give me some love. That was great! I also got treats... which of course I totally loved! Foster mom and dad commented that I have really grown up and matured since I was adopted. I am a BIG BOY now! And, I am just loving my life in my forever home! Thanks again to Catster for helping match me with my very own parents! Sending out much love - Eddie!!! : )

I have the best parents!!!

I am just having so much fun in my forever home! I had no idea how much fun having my own home would be. Freddie and I get to play all day and we don't have to compete with any other kitties... WHAT FUN! I love following my dad from room to room and always want to be close by. Any day now I am going to jump into his lap and get some pets. I know it will be great! One Week in Our New Home... And, Our First Birthday!

Today Freddie (my brother of course) and I celebrate one entire week in our FOREVER HOME! and, what a great home it is! Our new parents love us so much and are being so patient with us. Foster Mom and Dad did a good job of finding us a the best ever home! I am continuing to explore my new home and am spending a lot of time watching my dad and staying close by him. We also get A LOT of PLAY time in our new home... which you know we totally love. I think I am going to start letting my new dad pet me this week. It will be so great once I am ready to get the pets I so love! ALSO... today Freddie and I turn one year old. We are having a good day so far. We played hard this morning and I know we are going to get more play time later. WHAT FUN! I am so happy that we are in our forever home for our birthday. That really makes our birthday special. WE WENT TO OUR NEW HOME TODAY!!!

I can't believe the day FINALLY CAME! Today is the day that I got to go and live with my new parents. At first when foster mom started packing up some of our toys and Freddie's (my brother of course) favorite bed I got a little scared and hid. It took foster mom and dad a little while to find me (I did a really good job of hiding), but once they found me I went into my carrier really easy... especially once foster mom told me that I was going to get parents and a home of my own today. When we got to our new home... after what seemed like a car ride that lasted forever... I decided to be a little more adventurous than Freddie and didn't wait very long before I wanted to start exploring. My new parents got me a VERY LARGE and NICE three-story carpeted condo and it just looked like so much fun. It sits in front of a large window where Freddie and I can look out at birds and a lot of trees. Sitting in the condo is just going to be so much fun!!! I also got a lot of other new today and foster mom made sure to bring some of my favorite toys so I have those toys also! When foster mom and dad left me today I was walking around and doing a little exploring... Freddie was right behind me crawling on his stomach. I thought Freddie was being pretty silly!!! My foster mom promises to keep my diary updated as she gets news about me! All of now... sending out lots of love!!!! Eddie : )

My Own HOME!!!! Wow! I am so EXCITED!!!

ME AND FREDDIE ARE FINALLY GETTING OUR OWN HOME!!! I am so excited!!! I really like my new parents... Yesterday I got to meet them. They were both really nice and so much FUN!!! I even got to play with them! You know me... I love to play! I was the perfect boy (at least in my opinion) when my new parents came over, but Freddie was a little shy and didn't get to play like me. I know when we get to our new house both of us are just going to love PLAYING WITH OUR NEW PARENTS. I am going to miss my foster mom and dad a lot... but, it is worth missing them since I get to have a loving home of my own! Foster mom and Dad told us (me and my brother Freddie of course) that we have to wait a week before we get to go to our new home. Good things are always worth waiting for so I don't mind. It is Traveling Season (for foster mom)

Marlee (the alpha resident kitty at our house) told me that foster mom has to travel a lot in the spring. Last week she went to NYC for the week and at the end of this week she is going to Texas for a week... only to come back for a couple of weeks before leaving for Atlanta and then a week later Colorado and then Michigan. Oh... how we (me, my brother Freddie and resident kitties Marlee and Joe) miss her when she is away. Last week was the first time that foster mom left us alone with just foster dad. Foster mom and dad have gone away before... but always together... this was the first time that foster mom left without foster dad. I enjoyed being with my foster dad... It was especially great because he gave us all a lot of extra treats. The bad news about foster mom being gone is that we only have one human to interact with us and Joe likes to steal all of the attention from foster dad away. The worse news is that foster mom is in charge of helping us find our forever homes and when she is traveling she can't help us. Oh... how I wish I were in my forever home already! It would be so much FUN! I guess someone will just have to find us since foster mom isn't available much to find someone. If you know of anyone or could be our special someome, please contact us!!! We (me and Freddie of course) would love to meet you!!! : )

Wow! A Diary of the Day Pick AGAIN!!

My foster mom just told me that I am the Diary of the Day Pick AGAIN! I am so happy... I know this will mean extra treats for me! I think this means that I might be good at journaling about my story and my journey to finding a forever home... Who knows... but, it means that today is going to be a good day... I got the best gift today! I get to party for St. Patrick's Day. Foster mom and Dad gave me some extra treats in honor of the hat that someone made me. My foster mom told me that I need to be a gracious boy and thank whoever it was that made my hat for me. So... whoever you are anonymous... THANKS! Sending much love - Eddie : )

Musings on a Windy Day...

It is really windy here today and it was windy yesterday also! I have been spending a lot of time on my bed by the window watching everything blow by. It is pretty exciting... kind of anyway. I like it a lot better when it is really sunny and I can lay in this same spot and soak up the sun. Oh... how I love to lay in the sun and catnap. My foster mom and dad gave me and my brother Freddie some catnip today. It sure was a lot of fun! We rolled and played and just sang in delight. I am sure happy that Joe (The BIG orange tabby resident kitty) asked for the catnip. Whenever he asks we all get it. What a deal! Foster mom tells me that she will make sure that she tells my new family how much I like catnip and that we (me and Freddie of course) like live catnip best. I am really glad she promises to let my new family... I know you are out there... know all about what I like.

Did I tell you we have a sister (she is already adopted)

You know... I have been thinking that I never mentioned before that we have a sister. Her name is Emma (now Ella in her new home) and she is a beautiful black and white. Both Freddie and I just love her so much! She was the leader of our gang and was the first to get adopted. I guess that makes sense since she was the leader. She was adopted a long time ago when we were little. Foster mommy got really busy finishing up her PhD in the late summer and all through the fall and didn't have time to take us out to adoption events or to put us up on Catster. We enjoyed living with her, foster daddy and Joe (big orange resident cat) and Marlee (black tuxedo) anyway so we didn't mind. We are getting restless to find our own home now and so want to be adopted. My foster mommy decided to help us by also listing us on craig's list this week. I hope someone finds us and wants to love us... (to tell you the truth though... I wish someone from Catster would find us... we just love Catster so much!). All for now... Foster grandma's and such (What happens when foster mommy- and daddy aren't around)

I don't think I have yet told you about how well behaved I am when my foster mommy and daddy go away on trips or when we have family visit. Well... if I a may say so myself I am great! Foster mommy and daddy recently went to Las Vegas for a few days and our foster nanny came and took care of all of us (Freddie, Joe (big orange tabby resident cat), Marlee (black tux resident cat), and me). Foster nanny came by twice per day and fed us, played with us, gave us treats, and cleaned up our litter box. I like my foster nanny, but I haven't yet let her pet me. I do talk to her and follow her around and I do play with her, but I only want her so close (about 2 feet away). I am a little cautious because foster mommy and daddy are not home. But, all in all I am a very good boy. Foster mommy and daddy have gone away several times while I have lived here and I am always a good boy. (Freddie is good too, but not as good as me... at least that is my opinion).

On a related subject, my foster mommy recently had her mommy visit and I loved my foster grandma. She is a total cat lover and I was so curious about her. It was nice to be loved by someone so nice as her...

I am so looking forward to having my own parent(s).

My New Feather Toy and Me!

I have discovered a new favorite toy! A peacock feather just has to be the best toy ever!!! My foster mommy and daddy are just the best. Freddie and I each got a peacock feather as a toy and we just love them. I was so excited when I saw the feather for the first time. Both Freddie and I were jumping in the air after the feather and swatting at it. Then Freddie ran off with it. I couldn't believe he thought he was going to get the toy all to himself so I chased him and played with one end of the feather while he played with the other. Resident cat Joe (A big orange tabby) even joined in the fun. I was even more excited when foster mommy got out a second feather and I could have one of my own! I played with my feather for a long time and just loved it. Eventually foster mommy put the feather away for me (I was tired). I got to play with it again the next day though... and I am sure I will get to play with it again soon! What fun!!!

I am the best alarm clock!

I think I am the best alarm clock ever! My foster mommy gets up at 7:00 AM and sometimes I just can't wait so I wake her up a few minutes early... like 6:55 AM... (not too early because I know my foster mommy like to sleep). When I decide that I can't wait for her alarm I just jump up on the bed next to her pillow and start to purr. This wakes foster mommy up instantly and she starts to pet me. Oh... how I love to get petted and rubbed!!! My brother Freddie also loves his morning pets and rubs but he never wakes mommy up early. He is a little more patient than me I guess!
