Oh.. you mean the Christmas Tree is not for us?

I just got the update below from Freddie and Eddie's daddy. As you will read, they are thriving in their new home and very happy... though they need a diet a little.

"The boys are doing great. Freddie continues to grow and is bigger than Eddie now and I am not talking girth although they are about to have their daily intake amounts decreased to shed off any extra weight they are carrying.

Tried to decorate the Christmas tree this year but the boys had other plans. They kept knocking off the ornaments including those placed higher in the tree. They would climb up through the tree to get them. The tree had lights only this year. I put up my train under the tree as well but the boys kept knocking it off the tracks. They follow me everywhere. They wait for me outside the bathroom door when I am in there. I have been spoiling them and I think they have decided to work me as long as I’m willing to give in to them. They love their cat tree (especially Freddie) and they allow Steve to pet them when they are there. They are waiting for me when I get home. Eddie is the more vocal of the two but Freddie does his share. It’s always nice when they shut down for a while and sleep because it gives me a chance to get things done at home.



The boys have definitely settled in. I will have to take more pictures of them and forward to you soon. "

Foster Mom and Dad found out about our exploits...!

I can't believe that I got to see my foster mom and dad this last Saturday. I really thought I wasn't ever going to see them again. Though I really love them, especially my foster mom, I was ok about not seeing them ever again since I love my forever home SO MUCH!! I was just minding my own business sleeping and all of a sudden I realized that my brother Eddie was getting his nails cut and I heard foster mom and foster dad's voice... I knew it was my turn next. I actually think I was totally more of a gentleman when foster mom and dad were cutting my nails than was my brother Eddie... But, I guess it is best just to say that we were both good. After hugs and kisses from foster mom and some from foster dad and my own dad holding me and giving me pets... MY OWN DAD RATTED ME OUT... HE TOLD MY FOSTER MOM AND DAD THAT EDDIE AND I HAD TOPPLED THE CAT TREE BECAUSE WE WERE BOTH ON THE TOP OF IT AND WRESTLING. WE USED TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS BUT NOW I GUESS WE ARE BOTH SUCH GROWN UP BOYS THAT WE CAN'T WRESTLE ON THE TOP AGAIN...My foster mom and dad found this kind of funny and I knew it was total evidence to them about just how much we (me and my brother Eddie of course) love our forever home. I HAVE TO TELL YOU IT IS JUST THE BEST!!! Sending out lots of purrs and headbutts - Freddie! : )

I love my new parents!

Just want to say that getting petted by my new daddy is just the best. I get pets everyday! Eddie and I are having a ton of fun playing.... all day and all night... Our new house is a blast!

My 1St B-Day and 1 Week in My New Home

Today is my first B-Day! Yeah! My foster mom just talked to my new Dad and I played so hard last night and this morning that I am already tuckered out today and sleeping... Sleeping is one of my favorite things so taking a big nap on my birthday is GREAT! Especially, since my new dad is close by and watching me. Today is also the end of the first week for me and Eddie in our new home. My Dad is happy so far with my progress. I am playing with him ALOT and generally watching him closely and checking him out. I haven't let him pet me yet... but, I think we might have a break through in this area this week. I know it is just going to be great once I am comfortable enough to get the pets I so love. The Big Day Was TODAY!

Me and Eddie (my brother of course) went to our forever home today! I knew something was up and today must be the day when my foster mom started packing up some of my toys and my favorite bed. I was a good little boy and went in my carrier really easy... after just a little chase... (I hate those carriers!). My brother Eddie was the naughty one today... he hid (he hates the carriers worse than me) and made it a little hard for my foster parents to even find him. Once we got to our new home my foster mom and dad checked the place out for me and then they let me and Eddie out of our carriers. I was somewhat scared, but foster mom says I was pretty good overall and was not as scared as she thought I was going to be. She always knew I was going to be a good boy! I hid for a little while, but when foster mom and dad left I was doing a little exploring. I was crawling around on my stomach checking everything out...and following my brothers lead. It was quite a sight to see. I can't wait until I feel at home in my new house and with my new parents! Life will be so good! My foster mom told me that she promises to keep my Caster page updated with news about me and my brother and our new life in our new home. All for now... Sending much love!!! Freddie : )

I am going to my forever home soon!

So... we (me and my brother Eddie of course) have some news! A nice couple has adopted us! They found us through Caster... I know my foster mom is really excited about this and glad that Caster was able to help us find our own home. Yesterday, our new parents came and met us and they liked us so much they decided to adopt us. Eddie was on his best behavior and got to play with our new parents, but I was a little to scared to come out and play. My new parents didn't seem to mind my shyness yesterday so I am a very lucky boy indeed. I just know they will be patient with me and will just shower me with love. Oh how I long to be able to trust them enough to snuggle with them. I just know it will be so much fun! We are only going to live with our foster mom and dad for another week... I know I will miss them a lot... but, I just know that my new home will be the BEST! Thanks to all of the kitties on Caster who have cared so much about me on my journey to my forever home. Foster Mom Went to NYC

Wow! Last week my foster mom went to NYC and left all of us (my brother Eddie of course and resident kitties Marlee and Joe) alone with foster dad. Foster dad did a good job of taking care of us all by himself, but I was really happy when foster mom came home at the end of the week because then there were two humans to give all of us attention instead of just one. You see... resident kitty Joe (the BIG orange kitty) thinks that foster dad belongs to him and to him only so the rest of us have to get in line to get any attention at all. Foster dad made up for the fact that Joe wanted to hog all of the attention by giving us extra treats. I really enjoyed this part of foster mom being gone... but, I missed all of the pets I get from foster mom. Having loving humans is sure a lot of fun! I am betting that when I find my forever family they will take care of me just the way my foster family has during the last several months. It is great to be loved!

Playing Ball with Foster Mommy and Daddy

I love B Ball! And, it is March! Have you looked at the picture of me watching basketball? We even have a kitty in our house named Joe... Joe Bruin of course... He is the Big Orange Resident Cat! Anyway... last night while my foster mom and dad were watching the game I got to play ball with them. Here is how it works... I pick up one of my balls and carry it in my mouth over them and start battting it around. Then I stop and look at them and they either pick it up and throw it or they bat it to me and then the whole thing starts again! It was a blast! I just love these little play times! WHAT FUN!!! Hope my very own forever family who I hope to get soon likes playing with me like this!

My foster sister Marlee and Me

So... I don't thik I have mentioned that both me and my foster sister Marlee (the resident alpha kitty) are tuxedos. I am a blue and she is a black. I think tuxedos rule!... well next to black kitties like my brother Eddie anyway. At our house Marlee is the boss so when Marlee decides to let you do something it it news...

So... here is my news... !!! : ) Marlee has decided that I can get pets from her mommy (my foster mommy) at the same time as she is being petted. This is HUGE!!! I have been jumping up on the bed when Marlee is on the bed getting pets for months and she always just jumps down when I jump up. She isn't mean or anything, but just doesn't want to share her mommy time. For the last few days when I jump up she stays on the bed and we both get pets for what seems like hours... Good thing that foster mommy has two hands so that she can pet us both and snuggle with us at the same time. This is so exciting! I really look up to Marlee and am glad that I am now able to share more with her. I am hoping that my new forever family wants to pet me and my brother Eddie at the same time... sharing in this way can be so much fun!

Foster Mommy Decided to List Us on Craig's List Today

My foster mommy thought that perhaps listing us (me and Eddie of course) on Craig's list might help us to find a new home. Who knows... maybe it will. She even pointed people to our Catster pages to find out more about us. I am pretty sure that might help since I know we both look so special on our Catster pages. We have been living with foster mommy and daddy and our foster brother (Joe the big orange tabby resident cat) and Marlee (the black tux mommy cat) for a long time now and we love it here... but, we are so ready to go to our own place. I just know it will be so much fun!!!

Oh...on a related note... (kind of)... I got alot of play time this evening with Eddie and with my foster mommy. Marlee joined in also! I was jumping up after my toys and just generally having a blast. Play sessions can be so much fun!

I just love it when foster mommy and daddy come home

My foster mommy and daddy have had to take several trips while Eddie and I have lived with them. Shortly after we arrived they went to San Diego, and at Christmas time they went to Colorado, and then recently they went to Las Vegas. When they go away our foster nanny comes and take care of us. She is a good nanny, but I miss my foster parents when they are away. Nevertheless, I look forward to my foster nanny's visits and to the treats she give me. Like my brother Eddie, I have not yet let my foster nanny pet me... but, I really want to!!! Maybe next time my foster parents go out of town... that is unless I get adopted first. I sure hope I get adopted first. I really want my own parent(s)! I am such a snuggle bug! I get so excited when my foster parents return home after a trip... I can't get enough of them!

I Discovered a New Feather Toy!

Wow! I knew I loved feather toys, but I had no idea how much fun playing with a peacock feather could be. Yesterday my foster mommy and daddy brought home a new toy for me and my brother Eddie. Our new toy was a real peacock feather. I was so excited when I saw it! First foster mommy dangled it in front of us and we jumped for it and took swats at it. What fun! Then I grapped it and took off running with it! Eddie took off after me and resident cat Joe (a big Orange Tabby) also took off after me and the feather chasing. We all tried to play with the feather at once. It was quite a site! We had a ton of fun! Eventually foster mommy got out a second new feather (who knew she had two). Eddie then got his own feather and Joe and I continued to play with the first feather. I just love my new toy!

I help wake up my foster mommy

I started my day today like I start all of my days. When foster mommy's alarm went off at 7:00 AM I was sleeping on the bed as usual, but sprung into action as soon as I heard the alarm. I like to help wake my foster mommy up by purring and rubbing against her. She seems to repond to this and always give me lots of pets. Eddie also likes to do the same thing in the morning. The morning with our foster mommy on the bed are one of our favorite times of the day. After we finish getting our morning pets we always get a few treats! Yummy! I just love my time on the bed with my foster mommy! (I wish we could spend the whole day on the bed with her!)
