Arrival Story:
Miles and I met one day when I was visiting a relative. I was standing on the doorstep with my mother and I spotted this enormous Ginger Tabby walking down the street on his own. I called out to him and he came right over to meet me. We became friends and I would visit with him any time I went to see my cousins, since they would feed him in the winter because he had been abandoned by his family. One day I went back and he was tattered from fighting with another animal. It looked as if he might lose his eye, but noone cared enough to take him to see a doctor. I took him in and they drained his eye (which was badlly infected) and kept him overnight. When he was released he was to be given medication, which meant he would be in need of a permanent home. I found a place for us and he has moved with me many, many times. Miles has been my best friend and companion for many years, and I look forward to many, many more.

Bio:
Miles has GREEN eyes! ***Update*** Goodbye Baby Bear :'( It is with tearful sorrow that I write this last update for Miles' page. On 11th August, 2006 I came home to find Miles' expelling his last breath as I opened the door to our apartment. He had a very trying past several weeks, and had been to see no less than 6 vets for all sorts of health issues which had appeared all of a sudden. My Baby Bear had dwindled down to 9 lbs in a very short period of time, and was not at all interested in eating! Apparently he was very good at hiding things, because he was by my side always and I had no idea that he was as sick as he was. I love you, Miles. You were my only kitty, my dearest friend, confidante and beloved soulmate. There will never be another like you in the Universe, my Love. I hope to join you wherever you are, and if I could I would go through everything all over again and change things so that we could still be together. I'll see you on the next layer, and hope that you'll see fit to wait for me. Goodbye, my sweetest Bear.
