Arrival Story:
Last May I was strolling down the aisles of our local swapmeet, turned the corner and saw two little girls holding a box and a sign that read "FREE KITTENS". I told myself, "Don't even look." Got about five yards further along, turned back around and looked. The cutest little kittens and my favorite colors-gray and whites. I already am one pet over the limit for my mobile home park and told the girls I couldn't. "Yes you could!" they cried. But I shouldn't. "Yes you should!" What am I doing I thought as I grabbed one and left. She turned out to be Pixie and the love of my life! Sassy and sweet and funny! There aren't words to describe how this little dickens captivated my heart. The dogs tolerated her and were even starting to play with her when at eight months old, she slipped out and disappeared. That was Dec 19th 2007 and I have been searching for her ever since. Flyers, Posters, rewards, kitty buffets, humane trap, video, ads in everything I could think of. Looking at all hours of the day and night. I even spent a fortune on a dogtracking team with no luck. To say I am totally devastated and absolutely heartbroken is an understatement. I search our shelters, their websites, everything I can think of. She had a collar and tags and I pray every day for that one call but so far just a few look-a-likes. There's nothing I wouldn't give or do to have my baby girl home and back safe again.

Mr. D is home. My Mama can hardly believe it and is so thrilled!!! Sweet Mr D we are so happy for you and your Mama Karen. I don't know all the details yet but can't wait to find out. There is hope for me, there is hope for me! Uh oh, Mama is crying again. We hope to share a story like Mr D's sometime soon!

Pixie girl, still missing you like crazy. Got a call from someone who may have seen you but it's been 5 days and he said the kitty hasn't come back. I keep driving over to look for you but no luck. He said the kitty was gray and white and has a red collar. I talked to him today and said he thought the tag was red also. Your tag was a deep pink. It's the best description yet. 5 months of ups and downs and unknowns. False hope, it's been just devastating. I feel so sad on these awful "anniverseries". Oh Pixie, please let me find you.
