celebrity quiz...pretty good description.

I took the pet celebrity quiz and I have to admit, they matched me pretty good:

Wow, your cat is Snoop Dogg!

Snoop Dogg
Smooth & Cool

Swingin' hard and keeping it real in his 'hood, your little homey is Snoop Doggy Dogg, yo.

Bustin' out superfly vocals that keep his lady friends perched, ready and on the edge of their seats, Ian knows how to have a good time with his peeps and is not ashamed to show it. A big fan of the bling bling, Ian is fashion fit and costume conscious, even willing to go a little over the top at times. Rich like butter and phat with flavor when he rolls, Ian is well aware of the heads he turns along the way. Often seen hangin' with the big boys, Ian is one tough cookie and knows how to paw his way out of a confrontation. But despite his occasionally feisty flare, Ian is romantic and poetic, a true-blue Casanova through and through.

spring time hunting...

Spring is here and I am loving it! I caught a bird and a big fat field rat today! Woo-hoo. Doing my job, keeping the rodents out of the barn, plus I get to enjoy the thrill of the hunt. I still prefer my Nine Lives for breakfast and dinner, but it is nice to have a little snack mid-day.

Gotta run...plenty of day light left. Hopefully I can get another one!

A cute story...

Yesterday I entered the All Fur Fun Legends Contest. I'm very excited, I was a co-winner with Izzi. So I thought I what put my Legend Story here for other furs to read...

Ian Von Mouser –

Ian was a Legendary Mouser who thanked his family by keeping their farm free from all the nasty rodents of the word. He was a supreme hunter whose skills of catching rodents and various other critters were widely discussed. Moles, voles, mice, rats, chipmunks, squirrels…nothing was a match for his hunting skills. One day, while laying in the sun to digest and wait for his pawrents to come home, a thought came to mind. Ian know his skills were appreciated by his family and he knew other families would benefit from his services as well. But he was one kitty…what could he do? Laying in the sun and digesting some more, he thought about his brief time as an abandoned cat. How lost and scared he felt. He was saddened when he thought of other kitties still feeling the way he felt before he found home. Then it came to him…an idea of all ideas. He would use his talents and skills to help the abandoned kitties of the world. Ian set about drawing up his plans so that he could discuss them with his pawrents. He was going to need their backing if his plan was going to work.

Thus, the international Ian Von Mouser Unifursity was created. It started small, with a little classroom set up in the family barn. Local shelter cats came by during the day and learned how to perfect their hunting skills. They took classes from ‘Mousing 101’ to ‘Bigger and Better Prey’. The shelter cats earned their Hunting Degrees and were ready to find their fur-ever families and earn their keep. As part of the Ian Von Mouser Unifursity program, Ian set-up a family referral service. Families would be entered into the unifursities database with their rodent removal needs. Ian spent his nights matching his students specialties to the various family needs. Thus, all the local cats were adopted by families who needed and loved them. Word of the program and its success spread and soon families from all over the US were contacting Ian to adopt one of his graduates. With the demand increasing, cats were coming from shelters far away to study his hunting skills. Soon Ian set up Branch campuses of his Von Mouser Unifursity around the US to allow even more kitties to be taught his hunting ways. Canada too had branch campuses set up and Ian began traveling the world giving seminars on hunting to cats in Europe and Asia. And shelter cats all over the world soon found their fur-ever home because of their new highly marketable mousing skills. To think it all started one day while laying in the sun digesting.

A mouse for me...

What a great day I had this morning. I went outside and it was warm enough to stay out and do some hunting. I went down to the stream to see if any other critters were out. My lucky day...a nice fat field mouse. Yum! Shortly after my prize, it started to really rain here, so I came in the house and spent the rest of the day napping in bed. *sigh* This is the life for sure!

The rain finally stopped and I'm hoping I can get another mouse tomorrow.

Spring is in the air...

Finally, spring is coming! I have been outside 4 times already today. I've visited the stream, gone into the woods and walked through the fields. The animals are starting to come out. I'm finally going to be liberated from all my time in the house. Today, on one of my trips down to the stream, I picked up the smell of a NEW critter. I caught site of him...a beaver! A beaver on my property...I'm going to have to do something about this. My summer project! But first something I'm used to catching...maybe a bird or a mouse. Wish me luck today.

I logged on today to check in with my groups to find a pmail telling me my Diary was picked as Diary of the Day. Wow! I'm so excited. If you stop by to read my diary and see my page, please say Hi and sign my guest book. I would love to meet everyfur!

Also, if you are stuck inside, swatting at the birdies flying around the page can really pass the time. I will be outside for much of today...it is going to be in the 50s here. Spring is coming! I can feel it. Hopefully this evening, I can update my diary with some hunting tales.

It snowed another 5-6 inches here today. I went out after lunch to see if there was anything worth hunting, but nothing was out. I even walked up into the woods to see if maybe I could find a squirrel or something. Nope...didn't even find fresh tracks. *sigh* 20 more days till SPRING!

Ready for Spring...

My hunting has been seriously deminished with this weather. I did manage to catch too large mice last week, but most of the critters are up in the woods honkered down for the winter. With all the snow and ice, I've been opting to stay indoors where it is warm and dry. So most of my hunting has been for catnip toys in the house...

I'm counting the days until spring...
