Birthday approaches!

Yay, meowmy is writing for me!! She's been very bad about her Catster duties, but she has vowed to be better. Anyhoo, my birthday is coming up and I'll be 2!! Plus, Sammy is going to be 3!! It's so exciting, and meowmy says there will be treats and special food too :) Plus, there might even be some toys (though meowmy says she has to look under the over/cat treasure chest first to see what exactly I've got hidden under there). As long as I have my "mouse in the house" I'm pretty happy. And a snuggle buddy (especially TJ of course). I can't believe I'm going to be 2!!!

The Pumpkin Chronicles

Well, secretary meowmy is being good and letting me dictate another diary entry, so I thought I should take advantage of this! Anyway, after getting some yucky eye drops for a week, the yucky vet says that I'm back to normal after my little case of conjuntivitis (it's kinda an ongoing thing that happens to me sometimes). And as usual, everyone at the vet says I'm super duper cute and adorable (especially in my little pink carrier). And did you know that I'm now 7.3 pounds? Meowmy says that makes me bigger than a chihuahua MOL! Still the smallest in the house though and I can't make that jump up to the high beds like the boys can (boo!). I did steal some quality ketchup and soy sauce packets the other day, but meowmy is such a spoil sport and takes them away - and then she hides them! It's really not fair - but she did give me back my crochet mouse that I had put under the oven (for safe keeping of course), along with a lot of other toys I hadn't seen in a while - meowmy says this is our treasure chest of lost toys MOL! Well, off to snuggle with Lily or TJ, or possibly Cougar...maybe even mommy in a while, so many choices MOL!

The Pumpkin Princess

Hi everypurr!!

Mommy is updating everyone's diaries, so she says the girls get to go first MOL! Since Lily and Emmy got to go, now it's my turn to update you all on my latest news. I've had some very busy days snuggling the other kitties you know :) I love to snuggle TJ, he is the best and most handsome cat ever. Whenever I have a chance to snuggle TJ, I always take it, but sometimes I snuggle Cougar, Davy or my big Siamese brother Sammy. And Lily is good to snuggle too - she's my unofficial cat mommy you know. The only cat that no one likes to snuggle is Emmy (because she's mean). She seems to snuggle with daddy (she's a daddy's kitty), but that's about it. Oh, and I recently turned 1 in September (me and my big brother Sammy have almost the same birthday - so he's 2 and I'm 1)! I got lots of catnip toys for my birthday and me and Emmy got matching beds that look like kitties! Oh, and did I mention that when I'm not snuggling with kitties (or mommy or daddy too), I like to steal all kinds of things - like ketchup packets, plastic silverware, soy sauce packets - it's so much fun! Though mommy and daddy usually spoil the fun and take them away, but it's still pretty fun!! Well, that's about all there is right now, but I heard that there will be turkey to be eaten for Thanksgiving - this is my first Thanksgiving with mommy and daddy, so they said I will be spoiled with lots of treats!! Yay!!

My tummy tuck!

Hello everyone!!

I got a tummy tuck last week, though I don't understand why - my tummy seemed fine to me, but it seems that mommy and daddy thought otherwise. So I had my surgery and I was sent home with this soft collar thingy (the smallest they had at the vets). I hated it! I managed to get it off once or twice, but mommy put it right back on. Oh, and plus, I was all feeling kind of funny from the anethesia they gave me so I was running around like a nut and calling. And Sammy really wanted to play rough with me like we usually do, but mommy said no playing rough after surgery (though I don't know why) and kept me in the master bedroom away from Sammy! Ugh!!

Well, then mommy and daddy and me went to sleep. BUT when I woke up the next morning (with my collar on), I saw that I had 3 staples in my belly!! That was totally unacceptable, so I began the hard work of removing them with the collar on. I managed to get out 2 of them, but then mommy woke up and got all screamy and upset, and wouldn't let me get out that last staple! Then, she put me into my carrier. Uh, oh, I just knew it was back to that yucky vet. And sure enough, I went with daddy back to the vet who put glue on my tummy. And then mommy got out the collar she ordered from Bonafido - it was big and long, so I couldn't get to my belly!!

Mommy said I looked like a flower with it on my head (she is adding pictures of this embarrassing thing). BUT then me and Sammy (who mommy let in the room for a few minutes to see how he would act), played rough and Sammy figured out how to help me out of the collar!! Whoo hoo!! He would jump on my head and then I could pop off the collar - pretty smart for us meezers, huh? But then mommy got all upset again (since I went straight for my belly), and put both the soft collar and the Bonafido collar on me. And wouldn't let Sammy in the room with me!

So that was me, with both collars on (I did manage to get out of one of them 2 times, but mommy caught me right away) for the whole week. The only cats I could hang out with were Lily and Davy (who mommy let in the room because they are well behaved and the oldest). Sometimes Cougar or TJ came in too as they behaved okay with me too. But no Sammy! I missed him so much! And he was pretty depressed too :(

But this past Friday, I went back to the yucky vet (this time in my pink Barbie carrier as the vet's office calls it - mommy doesn't let the vet hold onto that one for procedures MOL). And guess what, I got my last staple out and my collar off my head!!! YAY!! And the vet said that as long as I didn't bother my tummy too much (which I haven't) then I don't have to wear the collar anymore. So no more collar and guess what - I can now play with Sammy again!! Life is good :)

Oh, and I must mention, that mommy, since she felt bad about the collar/no Sammy thing, fed me chicken, turkey, and beef baby foods by a spoon all week long (since I didn't like eating my wet food with my collar on). So she's not so bad. Oh, and she scratched my itchy head all week too! And snuggled me up of course. I love my mommy!

Wow, My very first entry!

Hello world! My name is Pumpkin, and this is my very first entry into my diary!

How exciting! I'm still getting used to my new home and new parents - so much fun. Mommy and daddy are really nice to me, and they buy me such cool toys. My favorite toy is my moving mousie "feline frolic" that mommy brought home for me - it is so much fun! Oh, and I like my new brothers and sisters too - especially TJ, Cougar & Sammy! Plus, I love to snuggle up with my cat "mama" Lily (she's really nice too). Oh, and I discovered the automatic litter boxes are nice to go bathroom in and are always clean - plus mommy seems very happy with my discovery.

My eyes are feeling better since mommy gave me some yucky eye drops, but now they are big and blue and open all the time! Mommy and daddy said that I accidentally brought home something called a Calicivirus that made some of my brother and sister kitties sick - especially my big Siamese brother Sammy who had to go to the yucky vet hospital for a few days! But now everyone is almost all better, so I'm happy about that. So are mommy and daddy, though now it seems that they have something called a human flu! It sounds yucky and I hope they get better soon.

Mommy bought me a pretty pink carrier for me to go to the vet in. I don't like going to the vet, but everyone says that I look cute in my pink carrier and they make a fuss over me. Personally, I just like to stay home and snuggle, play, and eat. Oh, and I like to cry really really loud to get my food - it makes mommy laugh, but I'm really being very serious you know MOL!

Okay, now I'm going to take a nap and then have some more food. Bye bye.
