Sad News from Sassy's MOM

Hello Friends of Sassy.

It pains me to let you know that Sassy went home already, just this past July 12. She at first had trouble walking, then had seizures. She would recover quite quickly though, and would eat heartily. I thought she would recover from her last "attack" but she didn't.

Sassy passed away at home, in the warmth and comfort of her basket. I was with her till the last.

I'd like to thank all of you for your friendships -- I had a fun time reading to Sassy all your e-mails and sharing your pictures. I wish all your nine lives to be healthy and happy.

World Cup Fever

Mum's sick. She's suffering from World Cup Fever.

She had the flu last week and, instead of resting, still goes to work and then sleeps late watching the World Cup.

I don't even know what the World Cup is. Is it something I can put milk in? Then that should be World BOWL! And a big bowl's a SUPER Bowl! I get the logic, don't you?

Mum's also obsessed with some tall person named Zizou. She squeals when she sees him in that World Cup thingy. "Zizou" is that tall person's nickname. His real name's funny-sounding, Zinedine Zidane. Mum calls me Zazzydane, after him.

I hope mum gets over her World Cup Fever soon... So I could go back to being Sassy instead of Zazzydane :-(

Because I'm only human,
It's sometimes hard to be
The wise, all-knowing creature
That my cat expects of me.

To somehow understand
The subtle implications
