Arrival Story: Mia and her sister were due to be euthanized and were picked up at the shelter just in time. However, they ended up living in the basement of a cat hoarder and became very sick. The hoarder was evicted and I received an emergency email for foster homes. Since it was in my area, I offered my help, but I had never done any fostering previously. I was told that there were 5 kittens that no one would take because they were sick with colds, and I said I would take them. The next day I was to pick up the 5 kittens, they called and said an adult cat was also coming down with a cold and asked me to take him. I said okay. I met the lady that was helping get 60 cats into foster homes and picked up the 6. I took them immediately to the vet because they looked so sick. The good news for Mia and her sister Bella is that we have finally got them well. We fell in love with them all and decided, what's 6 more cats anyway???
Bio: Mia is a sweetheart and gets along with my four resident cats extremely well. She is finally getting to be a kitten and is enjoying playing with all her new toys and running though the house. It's so much fun to watch because there was a time we didn't think she would live.
Christmas came early for me again this year! I'm 3 years old and for 3 years I'm in the top 5 in a category in the World's Coolest Cat Show. It's so fun entering and making new furiends each year. I always get some nice messages and people saying I'm "cute". Thanks to the people and to all the furiends I have made by being in the contest.
I made a very special friend when I first entered the contest three years ago. She congratulated me on being a finalist and gave me a rosette. Her name is Mercedes, and that's how we met.
Last year she won in the daredevil section of the contest. I was so happy for her.
My friend Mercy went to the Bridge after that and I miss her so. Her dogbrofur Quincy is suffering from cancer now but I just found out. Tonight I'm going to look at the sky for the star shaped "shiny" ones and purr for their Mom and Dad.
Please keep my furiend's family in your purrs and barks. See how you can meet Catsters and Dogsters here that will touch your heart?
Well I did it. I finally got through the door without anyone seeing me.
I was on the outside. There were a lot of other animals and the woods were full of little creatures. I wasn't too sure I liked them yet. Then I saw that cat my mom feeds "Hunter" and he doesn't want me to come back in the yard. What am I going to do now?
I guess I'll keep playing and walking. I was out there a long time and I started to see signs with a picture of me. What's going on?
I came home to mommy one day a week later. She was really excited when she saw me and I just wanted to go take a nap. There are so many things to see outside that I didn't get much rest. I won't go for as long next time, but please don't tell Mom!!!
Hey, what's a chip?
A lot has happened in Mia's World. We have new babies in our home. They were rescued by my Mom from Animal Control and only had a few more days to live.
Mia doesn't understand......... Why let kittens be born if you're only going to let them live a few weeks?
I love my newest brothers Prince and Kody . They get into lots of trouble. You can see for yourself if you go to their Catster pages:
Was I that crazy when I was a baby kit?
Love you all,
