Arrival Story:
I was rescued by Flat-Faced Friends from the Denver Animal Shelter as a group of 50 cats who were facing euthanasia. They put me into PetsMart for Adoption Days. Mommy and Daddy had been having problems lately with my "sister," Olive, who had started to act out and keep them up late at night trying to play and crying. Mommy had had enough so she went to PetsMart to see if she could find someone for Olive to play with. She fell in love with a little orange tabby in the cages in the back, and Daddy decided it was okay, but he wanted to see the cat first. Well, Daddy was not impressed. He felt that the kitty Mommy had seen was too low-key and would be beat up instantly. They were getting ready to leave when Daddy noticed the Adoption Days cages up at the front of the store. There were a few little kittens, and so there were a lot of people hanging out around them. The lady told my Mommy and Daddy that I had kept her up all night playing. Mommy knew then she had to see me. She held me, and passed me to Daddy. I purred and put my head under Daddy's chin and I was sold! I knew I wanted to go home with them, and they wanted to take me home! I came home to my furr-ever home and my sister, who only took THREE days to get used to me ( I love all other kitties, so I was good). I am happy now, except I don't get to go outside. I guess it's an okay trade for not living on the streets or in a cage.
