I am now Marshall of the newly arrivals and we have a new check-point just over the Bridge so that each and efurry new angel-kit knows where they need to go and who will be in charge of their wing training and angel dust provisions.
I love you all so furry much and so does my Momma and furrmily!

Furriends....purrlease help me to find handsome Benson a new furrever home!

His story...
"Benson's family was impacted by the current economy. They found themselves moving in with their grandparents but sadly Grandma is allergic to cats. They tried to make it work but sadly it was just too hard on her. After trying three times to take Benson to the Lewiston, Idaho shelter (it was full) they took him to Orchards Pet Hospital for euthanasia. Enter Dr. Catherine "Cat" Sayer, a recent graduate of the WSU School of Vet Medicine and our neighbor. Dr. Sayer saw the beautiful, friendly, healthy Benson and agreed to hold him for a few days to try to find a home. Enter Marion von Hagen, human to Mumtatz & Jolan, who was visiting from Germany to meet Pete and family. Dr. Sayer told Marion about Benson at a dinner party and the next day we were driving to Lewiston to meet Benson. Dr. Sayer can not give Benson a home, her dogs are not completely cat-friendly, and we can not, having just rescued Ceci so our feline stress level is maxed out at four. We agreed to photograph Benson and post him on catster and facebook hoping that someone would adopt him before his time is up."
Benson's Bio:
"Benson's fur was "trimmed" prior to his arrival at Orchards, so his beautiful silver fur is a tad choppy but is growing well. He has beautiful green eyes and whiskers longer than Pete's. He is a large cat and has tested negative to FIV and Feline Leukemia. He still needs his shots. He is neutered and needs to live indoors as he has had his front claws removed. When we met him he was just slightly shy at first but warmed up very quickly. He purred VERY LOUDLY when held and loved having his belly rubbed. He seemed to like Marion best, sadly she lives in Germany, and though has two weeks of vacation ahead of her, he would need a rabies shot three weeks before being admitted to Germany. Marion is on her way to San Francisco so its not really a viable option. Those interested in adopting Benson should contact Orchards Pet Hospital, 207 Thain Road, Lewiston, Idaho 83501. 208.743.5432. Lewiston, Idaho is 30 miles from Pullman, Washington where we live in eastern Washington. We are more than willing to help get Benson to another location and can drive him to a new home anywhere in Washington state or north Idaho very easily."

This is a sweet and loving kitty who deserves a loving furrever home! He's only four years old! Tell your family and friends and anyone who will listen and direct them to his Catster page...let's find Benson his purrfect life with a furrmily again!

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don’t they understand? asked God
That you’ll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is…. Forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand, replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper inito their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am… forever and ever and ever.

Efurryone, meet Snowflake !!!
He's a handsome Meezer boykit who is sweet and playful and wonderful wif efurryone, just like me!

Snowflake had a purrty short life on Earth, as I did, only 6 years before he had to join us here at the Bridge....but he was also lucky like I was. He had the BESTEST furrever home anykit could want wif a loving Mommy and fursibs.

He and I have a lot in common! We both like to play and we are furry furriendly boykits. He's a Siamese, although a different type than I am. We both like cheeseburgers and mousie toys, too!

Puurlease stop by Snowflake's page and look at the wonderpurr pictures of him there and read his story. His Mommy would love to hear from other pet pawrents and I KNOW that my furriends pawrents are the most loving and supportive pet pawrents in the whole world!

Me and my furriends are keeping Snowflake busy here at the Bridge and he's really getting good at playing hide and seek among the clouds! Those big wings of his make him super-fast! You should see his face when he comes out of a big thundercloud! MOL....his eyes a HUGE and the biggest grin is plastered on his furry little face!
I love playing wif my new buddy and the both of us are awaiting our loving Mommies here while we enjoy the wonders of the Rainbow Bridge!

Some of my furriends have created a petition to bring folks together so that nothing like what happened our to little Eve will happen again from THAT particular "Humane" shelter in Georgia! Please, if you will....take this step to assist in getting attention fur the rest of the sweet innocents who are still at the "shelter"?

Trying to understand....

My Momma was trying to understand why things happen the way they do in the case of little Eve and I flew down to tap her on her brain and say, "Momma, some things aren't MEANT to be understood, just FELT!"
She had a little trouble wif that statement...MOL...poor Momma! I stayed wif her for a little while and fanned her face wif my beautiful wings. Suddenly, she understood what I was saying! Understanding requires SO much information and there are times when understanding isn't possible with so MUCH conflicting info! Her sadness and regret at Eve's having to join me here at the Rainbow Bridge was truly meant to be felt, because the understanding is not possible. Maybe Eve has a mission here at the Bridge or her lessons to her rescuers and all the people who love her WAS her mission! Efurryone tied to Eve in one way or another, whether it be by donations for her rescue or just reading posts about her plight, is wiser and stronger for having known little Evie! The "Humane" Shelter that held her and spayed her in a weakened state is going to be investigated for what happened to Eve. Petitions and information are being gathered by many intelligent people as I speak! Eve's Crew will fight to keep this happening to ANY other innocent creature who is living at that "shelter"! The community there needs to know what is going on, because this shelter is being supported by taxpayer dollars and well-meaning donations! Little Eve is a heroine, having given her life to prompt such a HUGE effort!
Well...speaking of heroines, I must go now and show my new little furriend how to send a shooting star to show her rescuers she is happy and healthy here wif us at the Rainbow Bridge! It's an art and it will take practice, but she's a talented little girlkit and I just KNOW she'll pick it up really fast!
***WHOOSH!!!***

I welcomed my sisfur, Flowie's boykit furriend Misha to the- Bridge....

What an amazing angel Misha is! He practiced angel traits on Earth and since coming here, he's purrfected them even more! Here at the Rainbow Bridge, purrfect is the norm, but Misha has the gift of boosting purrfect to a new level! I'm sure he is missed on Earth...in fact, I KNOW it...but, he is so apurreciated here and loved and looked up to! Misha's soul is the epitome of this Christmas season...warm and loving and full of fun! I gave him some special angel dust to sprinkle ofur his loved ones to help them heal...he's concerned about the ones he had to leave behind, but he is learning fast that he can visit any time he wants and that someday, all of us will be together again!

Sadness and the Light of the Rainbow Bridge....

Our wonderful friend, Calvin...he who founded Pal of the Week and many humorous and interesting words has arrived to be here with me and my furriends at the Rainbow Bridge.
His passing was supervised by his loving furrmily and he was helped by a vet who loved him too.

Today has brought back some powerful feelings in my Momma...the ones she had when I first had to leave her to come to the Bridge.
Momma still misses me, of course....and I miss her...but she has come to terms with my leaving, finally....after a long, long time.
I know, of course, that someday she will come to the Rainbow Bridge and I will run to meet her and we will never again part ways.

That peculiar ache...in the heart....the one that feels like it must burst, yet feels hollow, all at once....the feeling is back.
Partly in sympathy, because Momma knows how it is to lose part of her heart and feel it wrenching free to follow the beloved kitty on his path to the Rainbow Bridge.

Also the feeling comes of losing such an important part of our Catster community.

Calvin, King of Hearts tells us to knead on....and we must, but not before emphasizing how important he and all the other Catster kits are to our furrmilies...especially our Moms.

The pain will eventually start to lessen, although the ache will never go away.

Candles will be lit and poems will be read and many fond memories will be shared...all to honor this wonderful being who shared his life and his love with his furrmily and with us, here on Catster.

Calvin, you are furrever loved by so many....now you join us at the Rainbow Bridge, where you will continue to shine your bright orangie light down on your furrmily's lives.

Tonight, there will be a special celebration that we hold for all newly arrived Rainbow Bridge kitties and you will find that your life is only just beginning again and your future holds all sorts of wondrous adventures and will be continued to be packed with good furriends who are happy to see you free and soaring between the clouds and among the stars!

As some of you know, my Momma and I wrote a book together about my last day on Earth with her and my passing over the Rainbow Bridge. I met my furrever furriend, MingMing and we have wonderpurr adventures together. I learn some pretty important lessons, too!

We've gotten some really good reviews and the book is available for $15.00; that includes postage and handling! If you'd like to order my book, please email me at maumauattherainbowbridge@gmail.com and I will get Momma to send one out to you ASAP! Momma has a PayPal account, so it's really easy to just pay with your credit card, even if you don't have an account.
