He didn't play with toys, but LOVED his blankie!
Favorite Nap Spot:
On our bed
He generated love from everyone, even non-cat people!
indoors and outdoors
Mau showed up in our pasture one day and immediately came to me. What a wonderful kitty puurrrrsonality! He talked alot and always came when called. Mau made himself at home and would "stomp" on the bed to make a nest and then curl right up. He woke me up in the morning by softly saying "Mama". I only had Mau for a couple of years, but he is forever in my heart. I believe that Mau sent Apollo to help heal the hole that was left in my life when he had to leave.
Purrs to all! I am patiently waiting for my Mommy to show up here at Rainbow Bridge. I've met ALL kinds of nice kitties to introduce to her when she comes. I've got family members here, like Mr. Wikit, who showed me around and helped me with my RB classes. I spend part of each day with every one of them and enjoy their company greatly! I am now on the welcoming committee at the Bridge to give head-butts and nose rubs to the new kitties who come over. I'm so proud! I wish that I could've stayed longer with Momma, but there was a reason I came here to the Bridge so early....I was NEEDED here!

Furriends....purrlease help me to find handsome Benson a new furrever home!
"Benson's family was impacted by the current economy. They found themselves moving in with their grandparents but sadly Grandma is allergic to cats. They tried to make it work but sadly it was just too hard on her. After trying three times to take Benson to the Lewiston, Idaho shelter (it was full) they took him to Orchards Pet Hospital for euthanasia. Enter Dr. Catherine "Cat" Sayer, a recent graduate of the WSU School of Vet Medicine and our neighbor. Dr. Sayer saw the beautiful, friendly, healthy Benson and agreed to hold him for a few days to try to find a home. Enter Marion von Hagen, human to Mumtatz & Jolan, who was visiting from Germany to meet Pete and family. Dr. Sayer told Marion about Benson at a dinner party and the next day we were driving to Lewiston to meet Benson. Dr. Sayer can not give Benson a home, her dogs are not completely cat-friendly, and we can not, having just rescued Ceci so our feline stress level is maxed out at four. We agreed to photograph Benson and post him on catster and facebook hoping that someone would adopt him before his time is up."
"Benson's fur was "trimmed" prior to his arrival at Orchards, so his beautiful silver fur is a tad choppy but is growing well. He has beautiful green eyes and whiskers longer than Pete's. He is a large cat and has tested negative to FIV and Feline Leukemia. He still needs his shots. He is neutered and needs to live indoors as he has had his front claws removed. When we met him he was just slightly shy at first but warmed up very quickly. He purred VERY LOUDLY when held and loved having his belly rubbed. He seemed to like Marion best, sadly she lives in Germany, and though has two weeks of vacation ahead of her, he would need a rabies shot three weeks before being admitted to Germany. Marion is on her way to San Francisco so its not really a viable option. Those interested in adopting Benson should contact Orchards Pet Hospital, 207 Thain Road, Lewiston, Idaho 83501. 208.743.5432. Lewiston, Idaho is 30 miles from Pullman, Washington where we live in eastern Washington. We are more than willing to help get Benson to another location and can drive him to a new home anywhere in Washington state or north Idaho very easily."
This is a sweet and loving kitty who deserves a loving furrever home! He's only four years old! Tell your family and friends and anyone who will listen and direct them to his Catster page...let's find Benson his purrfect life with a furrmily again!
