Arrival Story: Today (2nd February 2008) I was sitting in my cage at the RSPCA thinking this was another typical day. I had been there for ages. Everyone seemed to want the cute kittens or the svelt younger cats. People would come by and make comments like "look at that big cat!". Then, while waiting for breakfast, these 2 people came by. They chatted and then were let around to come and pat me. I love pats and scratches. They seemed nice. They then disappeared to look at other cats. I thought "here we go again, they'll pick someone else". Then, they were back. a cat carrier appeared and I was popped in. Not happy! It was hot and a bit squishy (so I have a few curves, what good girl doesn't!). Before I knew it I was in the car and then at a strange house. I hid under the bed awhile but, hey they gave me food! Gee, I'm even allowed to sleep on the couch and on the beds! I think I'm going to like it here!
Bio: Lucy's story was that she had been handed in when her previous owners moved. She was described on the web site as 'no Lucy Lui" with comments about her broad bottom! How could we pass up a cute cat like that! Also as an older kitten we knew she would struggle to find a home. She was so friendly, giving purrs and finger kisses and head butts, how could we turn her down! Poor Lucy, she is in a house with four cat lovers who will spoil her rotten!

I've been sucking up all day to cousin. I even let her (yick) cuddle me. I don't know why she is sad. All I wanted to do was play with Hamish :( I didn't realise Hamish would stop playing forever....
Mummy has forgiven me and so has daddy.
I'll go sleep on cousins clean laundrey, that will make her feel better.
Tell me what I have done wrong? Mummy has me locked in the bedroom with her and tells me I've done a really bad thing. Cousin is crying in her room. Daddy even said I was bad.
What did I do? I've been really playful and a bit hungry with this diet thing. They all think it is so cute when I catch a lizard or something... So just because I hunted anothe little snack....
Okay, so it was Hamish mouse.... Cousin was trying to entice him out of his cage to run around in his mouse ball. She left the lid open and left the room. Tell me, what is a hungry cat to do?
Mistake 1: Dad saw me. He confiscated Hamish
Mistake 2: Cousin tried to rescue Hamish. Too late.

By everyone's reaction it seems I shouldn't have given way to instinct.
Mummy said Hamish is going to be buried with Skinny & Penny. Those lucky angel kitties!
Another week has passed. No lumpies (kibble). Mummy is watching me like a hawk (tasty....). Daddy checks with her when I bat my eyes at him....
snacks are down! Must find way to break hoomans!
Everything looks like potential food. Stick with feather - must swat. Tennis ball - must swat. Drat! not edible!
Must chase moving things in garden.... Lizards - good snack but not filling.
Oh dear! I have been exercising!
Less food, more exercise.... these hoomans may be onto something.
Must find hidey hole to sleep... Cousin's rooms. Perfect! zzzzzzzz.......
