Jingles' Jabber....

Five days in my new home...

Well, I've been here in my new forever home now for 5 whole days... and I'm loving it! Thank goodness most of my new brothers and sisters don't hiss and bap me on the head anymore! Although Misty still hasn't accepted me with open paws yet, I've managed to work my way into the family pretty good now. But Zephyr says Misty doesn't really like anyone very well, except the humans. He's been around her for 4 years now, and she still hisses at and baps him! So I'm not too concerned about it.

My first night here, I was a little scared... but after only a couple of hours I was ready and raring to come out of the room Mom had put Simon and me in. I knew the rest of my new family and house was out there waiting for me, and I wanted to go exploring! Mom gave in, and it didn't take long at all for me to meet everyone and seek out every nook and cranny in my new home. Well, I might have missed some spots, but I'm working on it!

I had to put up with some hissing, growling, and getting bapped on the head by my new brothers and sisters. But I didn't hiss or bap back, I just hunkered down to show them I wasn't a threat... and they have almost all come to accept me as a sister now. Squirt loves me, and we've been playing games of chase with each other. I love that!!

My new Mom, Dad, and the boy all love me! I get lots and lots of lovins from Mom, the boy is very gentle and talks to me and pets me a lot, and Daddy has started picking me up and loving on me too. This morning, he and I played a bunch together, and then I lay on top of him purring while he petted me for a long time on the couch. I think he really enjoyed me cuddling with him because he kept rubbing my cheeks just like I like, and he had this "you're winning me over" look in his eyes. I knew I'd get to him, hehe.

I'll write more later, but I think I'm going to take a nap... a little girl needs her beauty rest after a hard morning playing and getting all those lovins!
