My new little brother...

Well Mom and Dad weren't happy with just Oscar. I really liked Emme and still don't get why she went away, but I know it wasn't Mom and Dad's decision so I guess it's ok.

Well, they went an adopted ANOTHER one. They swear it's the last one and that there's no room for more than 2 dogs and 2 cats and they are right!
Harley is a nice enough dog, but a little rowdy. I was used to Oscar and sort of like cuddling with that big fluff ball, but Harley is different. Harley wants to be the boss and he's MUCH more active than Oscar. Much, much, MUCH more active. He's always following someone around, Mom, Dad, Oscar, Me and trying to get them to play with him. He likes to throw his toys at me like I can do something with that!?

Even so, he's really a smart guy and I like him a lot. He bugs me a little, but that's what little brothers do apparently, even if the little brother is twice your size. So, when he's calm and relaxed I reward him by giving him baths. He's got these big ears and I really like to wash them, I know that sounds silly but dogs are just so dirty and I figure I'll help him stay clean so he can avoid those bath thingys mom is so fond of!

I really like the new house and everything seems to be calming down and settling in. I love hanging out on mom's desk while she works or studies and Harley and Oscar are usually sleeping on one of their doggy beds in the same room. Sometimes I sneak onto their really large doggy bed and take it for myself though! It's so comfy- why should I have to sleep on the hard desk all the time?!?

Everything seems to be going well except for that stupid girl Kami. She hates Harley. I tried to show her that he's friendly and just wants to say "hi" but she freaks out and screams at him. He knows she's the boss, but he just wants to play. That stubborn old witch doesn't care. I know she's "special" but sometimes I just wish she'd be normal.

Well, it's now time for me to harass mommy into getting my dinner. You know, if I don't remind her she'll forget. Those crazy humans are always doing that.

So much to do...

There are so many things to explore in our new home!
We all moved into something called a "house" I guess this is different than the "apartment" we've all been living in for as long as I can remember. Mom and dad sure are happy about it at least- and the dog, Oscar brags about going out in his backyard that spoiled brat!

This place has a lot of cabinets and drawers for me to explore, it seems like whenever I think I've seen everything I find a new cabinet, drawer, or door to try to open! It's a lot of work to get completely familiar with this place but I'm managing. There is a lot of room here and I really like how the kitchen is much bigger than the last place. It means mommy has to walk farther to get my food from the pantry but she doesn't seem to noticed. I'm having a nice time looking out all the windows. The sites change almost daily- mommy says it's a new neighborhood so there are new houses being built- I guess that's why.

I really wanna go outside with Oscar but they wont let me. Maybe if I find my leash and harness I can convince them to take me? I should get on that, but I've only had 19 hrs of sleep today so I must get caught up.

Belly rubs to all,

Well mom and dad came home with another one of those dog things. It's not too bad, but I was just learning to tolerate Oscar. He has calmed down a bit and now will even sleep on the bed with mom and me, but just as I'm getting comfortable they bring home another one.
On the plus side she is MUCH calmer than Oscar. Mom said that she's a little sick but should be fine, but overall she's just a more mellow type of dog. Good. She is a little to interested in me, but I just sit there, pop her, or meow at her and she walks off. Kami is stupid and runs which just makes Oscar and Emily want to chase her. Kami is really dumb and we can't convince her to act like I do so they will ignore her. She's even so stressed about the situation that she's loosing clumps of fur over it. Stupid girl. Mom made some little hideaways for us. Some places around the house where we can easily get to and the dogs can't- I think it's GREAT. I love hopping up on furniture I couldn't reach before and being out of reach of the dogs makes it even better. Meeeeoooowwww.

Other than that there's not much news. We are moving into a bigger place soon. Mom said that we will have to share a room with her and the dogs. *humph* I'm not too thrilled about that, but she says that we'll have kitty beds, and lots of toys and toy boxes, and all kinds of stuff and we won't get kicked out. Maybe it won't be so bad after all.

Well the sun is out and shining through the window. That means it's time for me to go work on my tan. Until next time-- meeeooooowwwwww and belly rubs.

Ciao
