Arrival Story: Since people often ask us where we came up with the names of our various pets, I thought I would explain the origin of Loki's name. Loki or Lokie, is the Norse god of chaos and trickery. We thought that as a kitten the name was fitting. As we got to know him, we determined that his name should probably be "Low Key" instead since he is very shy and not really a trouble maker at all. Loki was our second addition to our cat family and won my husband's heart the same way Rowyn did mine. He stuck his paw out of his cage and said "Look at me!" I adopted Loki for my husband from the Erie County SPCA. It was my husband's birthday and he was super happy to get Loki.

Bio: Loki is much snugglier the older he gets. He doesn't like being annoyed by the multitude of cats in the house so he lives (mostly) alone in the bedroom and is happy that way. He did enjoy sleepng on top of the fridge, which he obviously can't do in the bedroom, but has recently gotten brave and started sleeping wherever he wants. Loki walks around with what my husband and I refer to as "question mark tail". Loki has taken to nipping hands that are dangling off the bed at night to get attention. Although we try to be angry, he has such a sweet kitten face that it's hard to be angry with him.
See Sylvan's profile about how he escaped and Loki almost followed.....

I like being in the bedroom. I am alone, which I love. It has the air conditioner, which I love. My people snuggle with me while the sleep, which is the best part. Last night they decided that since The Bittle was crying outside the door and scratching that he could come in and see them too. I wasn't very happy about that to begin with, but I was even less pleased when he attacked me. OUT OF THE BLUE! He and I were on the bed, vying for our girl person's attention and he pounced on me. He ripped out fur! Unbelievable!
My girl person immediately picked him up and made him leave, but that didn't put my lost fur back in! I hid for several hours and only came out after my people were asleep. The Bittle cried at the door all night but I think he got what he deserved!
I see that he left me a Rosette today as way of an apology. I'll think about it, but that still won't put back the fur. I'm pretty angry about that. Oh well, I guess that maybe I should forgive him. I mean, he does only have one eye.

My people have been bringing the kitten into the bedroom every night and at first I really liked the company. I especially liked it because she gets wet food and I would steal it whenever she wasn't looking. Well, I don't like it so much anymore.
She monopolizes the bed, which is quite a feat for a two pound animal. I slept the whole night on the floor and even my boy person picking me up and putting me on the bed didn't make it ok. She just chased me off, but I don't think my people saw it because she waited until they were sleeping.
I don't know what to do. I am kind of scared of her. She is so rambunctious that I am not sure that anything I might do will help at all. I think that even if I ran her off the bed, she'd just jump right back on and try to play. I'm sleepy, I don't want to play!
I'm looking for some advice from my feline friends. Anything would help!

My girl and boy person have been telling me for days how lucky I am that I get to sleep in the bedroom with them. They don't need to tell me twice! My room is nice and cool and even though I don't like that noise the strange machine in the window makes, I am awfully comfy in the folds of the bedspread. Whenever the door opens I can feel the warm air and I am definitely happy that I am the "shy" one.
Last night they brought some new cat in, but she's pretty small and didn't seem to want to chase me around the way the other cats do. She walked over me while I was lying down and stepped on my side, but she's small so it was ok. I am a little bored in the bedroom alone so maybe they will bring her in again to entertain me. Silly kitten chases her own tail. That's so beneath me...
(Note from Loki's girl person: He used to chase his tail too until he got a little too tubby....)
