Leave a treat for *Lilly Bush* 2000-2007

Special Gift Box:

Nicknames: Lilly, Lilly Mae

Sun Sign:  Badges:  Quick Bio:
 Birthday: May 10th 2000
 Coloration: Brown Tabby

Likes: Cat nip. Watching a glass of coke fizz.

Pet-Peeves: The other cats picking on her.

Favorite Toy: Something with cat nip.

Favorite Nap Spot: Mary Beth's bed then Donald's closet toward the end.

Arrival Story: Lilly and her littermate brother were born and left at my sister Tina's home. We originally were taking them to a cousin's home, to be barn cats (because my sister was overrun with strays at her home-at one count she had 18+). Before we left my sister's, another sister, Debi came and claimed the boy (named him Mew) and we took the girl. On the way home Mary Beth pretty much decided she was going to keep her and did talk her dad into just that. Mary Beth named her Tiger Lilly because they are her favorite flowers and Lilly had an orange cast. Lilly was a ball as a kitten. I rec'd a package of catnip in the mail one day. The mail was laid on the couch and when we returned that evening, she had attacked the envelope the catnip was in, and was having fun. Lilly was seven and had health problems and depression. We had to make a very difficult decision, but it was in her best interest. Our vet was very gentle and we were with her until the end.

Bio: Lilly's mother, I believe was a calico, she came to my sister's, had the kittens or brought them when they were very young and then the mama left when they could eat on their own. The kittens were a little wild, and while trying to catch them in the basement, the little boy (Mew) stood in front of Lilly and hissed at us. He was protecting his sister, so sweet.

Forums Motto: I love catnip

October's Party
By: George Cooper
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

It has now been 4 years Lilly Mae, 4 years since we said goodbye.
I was looking at your pictures, you were and always will remain a beauty. The silly things you would do, you had a personality that was huge.
You and your first catnip; watching me do puzzles and knocking the pieces off with your tail; experiencing the water fountain for the first time; and how you would go in panther mode, when a glass of pop was sitting on the stand. You would begin to stalk the sound of the carbonation.
Lilly Mae you still bring a smile when I think about you. Even when the tears fall, I can still laugh at you and your antics.
Sweet girl you are still missed. Keep those boys in line. I imagine you have your paws full with Socks, Josh and Sam. MOL
Love and Missing You!!
