Leave a treat for **Joshua Bush **1993-2002

Nicknames: Josh

Sun Sign:  Badges:  Quick Bio:
 Birthday: April 15th 1993
 Coloration: Gray and White

Likes: Playing with his bro Samson.

Pet-Peeves: Walking in the snow.

Arrival Story: Josh and his 2 litter-mates(Samson and Butterscotch) were born at my mom's home to a rescued cat named Priscilla (a Russian Blue). Josh became my son Donald's cat when he was about 12 weeks old. He was named for Joshua in the Bible. He was born without a tail (it was adorable to see him move the area where his tail should have been when he was excited/happy/upset). Josh was neutered.

Bio: Joshua's mom was Priscilla. Butterscotch was his litter sis and Samson his litter bro. Josh was almost 9 years old when he went into kidney failure. He was a wonderful friend and companion. He hated the snow, and when it was a few inches deep we had to clear him a path to roam around our home and into the creek (which he totally enjoyed in all weather).

October's Party
By: George Cooper
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

Today Donald and I picked up your balloon to send and one for Sam too. You both brought so much into our lives and never will you be forgotten.
We watched your balloons as they floated upwards, with rain falling on our faces. We miss you both Josh and Sam.
Love,
Mom

Your Pets In Heaven
by Ken D. Conover
To have loved and then said farewell, is better than to have never loved at all.
For all of the times that you have stooped and touched my head, fed me my favorite treat and returned the love that I so unconditionally gave to you.
For the care that you gave to me so unselfishly.
For all of these things I am grateful and thankful.
I ask that you not grieve for the loss, but rejoice in the fact that we lived, loved and touched each others lives. My life was fuller because you were there, not as a master/owner, but as my FRIEND.
Today I am as I was in my youth. The grass is always green, butterflies flit among the flowers and the Sun shines gently down upon all of God's creatures.
I can run, jump, play and do all of the things that I did in my youth. There is no sickness, no aching joints and no regrets and no aging.
We await the arrival of our lifelong companions and know that togetherness is forever.
You live in our hearts as we do in yours. Companions such as you are so rare and unique.
Don't hold the love that you have within yourself. Give it to another like me and then I will live forever. For love never really dies, and you are loved and missed as surely as we are.
Your Pets In Heaven
Today Josh I remembered spending our last hour together in the vet's waiting area. Your Donald, Mary Beth and I knew it was time after Doc Dave told us that your kidneys were shutting down. You were already at Doc Dave's and we held you and talked to you and said our goodbyes. We still miss you and look forward to being with you again.
Love,
Your Family
