Arrival Story:
Miss Kitten is a feral stray. She was born (in a central A/c unit) to a neighborhood cat (her young mom's first litter), and another neighborhood cat whose family moved off & left him behind. There were several more kittens, but they did not survive the summer because the mama cat kept them hidden in car engines. Miss Kitten has been coming to my door since she was a tiny baby to eat, but will not allow anyone to pet her. I did manage to trap her & had her spayed before she had any kittens of her own. She is happy, and seems very healthy, despite being a full-time outside cat. She will stand around & 'talk' to me when I feed her, and I know she wishes she wasn't afraid of people, and sometimes she forgets she is afraid and walks in the door, and then runs right back out again.
