Thena was just adopted by her new Mommy and Daddy on 1/26/08!
Bio:
Mommy and Daddy went to the shelter to see the animals as they like to do. Mommy was kind of looking for a black kitty, and there was a little noisy black one next to my cage. He tried to get Mommy's attention. She picked him up and thought he was sweet, then went to get Daddy. When they came back some other people were already looking at that black kitty. Then Mommy noticed ME ! and that I was calm and beautiful. I reminded her of a tortoiseshell kitty she had when she was younger. When Mommy picked me up I immediately started purring and snuggling in her arms. That was it for Mommy...she knew we were meant for each other!
Pretty soon Daddy (though he has always been a dog person) has been converted when he saw how lovey I am. But, I defend myself when necessary against my dog brother and sister.
The older I get, the more my personality has come out. I have quickly become the queen of the house :-)

Wow .... way too long since I've updated everybody. Soon, I'll tell you all about my brother, Nigel, who came along a couple of months ago. For now, I just wanted to say THANKS THANKS THANKS on behalf of Nigel and my canine siblings Abby and Jake for all the beautiful gifts you've been leaving for us! The collars are beautiful and match all our coats just perfectly! It's so great to have such thoughtful friends. Talk to you soon!

Long time no write! Sorry it's been so long. Things have been crazy. Mommy and daddy are putting in a new floor in the living room, and now the whole house is a mess! The cool thing is, they put all the furniture and stuff in one big pile downstairs, so now I have a huge obstacle course to jump off and run through!
I heard mommy say she needs to start feeding me a little less so that I don't get too chubby. I don't know what she's talking about. I think I'm very svelte and slender. Oh well ....

I'm so humbled and grateful to get all the exposure on the Catster homepage -- but even more so for all the new friends I've made today! thanks to each of you for taking time to visit my page. my daddy was really busy at work today and didn't get a chance to send individual messages to everybody, but please know that we really do appreciate all the friendly notes, gifts and treats!
