Arrival Story:
Clawdette was found in a Spartanburg, SC shelter from an online search for another white cat. Her name was originally Meon and she was surrendered because of her expenses. My two grandsons went with me to see this cat. We were, at first, not interested as she had no use for humans and was distant. We had her put back in her cage and we looked around some more. We went back to say goodbye to her and she was tossing a ball in the air just like Clawdia used to do. That was "it" for us... we had another visit with her and decided to bring her home. She slept the whole way home. We thought we could be bringing home a very distant cat. That has NOT been the case. She is very people friendly and one would never know how disinterested she was in humans in the beginning.
Bio:
Clawdette has become rather "bossy" to her other furmily in the home and sometimes they don't appreciate it. She DEMANDS to be fed first. Quite often she takes her meowmie (me) to the food container to show me where it is... she seems to think I have forgotten. Clawdette, Sunflower and Precious all eat in the computer room. Meowmie shuts the door after feeding the THREE AMIGOS because Clawdette with try to horn in on the other feedings.

Well, I turned 9 years old yesterday and my furry own meowmy forget it. That was just plain rude, if you ask me. I was well remembered by Rory and his furmily with a lovely picture and another lovely picture from my Auntie Dana. I got a beautiful bouquet of tulips from Angel Big Harry and his furmily and a purrty rose from Angel Wanda and her precious furmily. I thank each of you for remembering my birthday, even though my own meowmy forgot. She and my dad went to South Carolina to meet my dad's sister and her husband and then my pawrents came home and went back to South Carolina last night to have dinner with furiends at some barbeque place. And with all the goings could my meowmy not have taken time to wish me a Happy Birthday. Pffffffffffttttttttt. Just wait until my meowmy's birthday rolls around next year.... guess who will forget???

Do you know what today is? Well, it is MY 8th birthday! You would think that my meowmy would have her act together enough to remember that, wouldn't you? Well, she did NOT remember!!!!!! Thank goodness that I received three pawmails from furiends who remembered. Many thanks to Tundra, Rory, Manytoes and Lynzee for the note and my beautiful birthday picture. Thanks, also, to Hazel Lucy and DA TABBIES O TROUT TOWNE for the lovely birthday wishes.

Most of you know that we have been very quiet on Catster in the past year. Well, some of it is because of all the catfusing changes made by Catster. We still have problems finding things with the new set up... but the main reason for our quiet time lately is the loss of our beloved McDuff who went to the Rainbow Bridge very suddenly and unexpectedly on August 7, 1011 and the loss of my beloved sisfur Kujo on November 29, 2011. We knew Kujo was sick with renal failure but did not expected her to cross the Rainbow Bridge so soon after her diagnosis. We did not know that she had developed pancreatitis, in addition to the renal failure and it took a toll on her body. Meowmy has really had a difficult time adjusting to the losses. She says that holes in the heart take lots of time to heal. I have tried to help her as much as I can but I still see her daily tears.
Now that Meowmy remembers it is my birthday today, I know things will only get better.
