More purrty gifties for my birthday.

Meowmy has been purrty busy since my birthday on Thursday. She found out the results from my brofur Prince's surgery (done on April 10th) and has been a little distracted. We did not get wonderpurr news and would like to ask for purrs and prayers for my brofur. He may have some type of cancer. The biopsy they did came back suspicious and the one who did the biopsy wants to do more testing to determine what is truly going on with Prince. He needs some strong purrs... we do beliEVE and we know prayer works. Thank you.

Well, I turned 8 years old today. I am getting to be such a big girl. I would like to thank Mr. Sam and his precious furmily and Big Harry and his pawsome furmily for my birthday gifties for my page and DA TABBIES O TROUT TOWNE for my sweet birthday message. Thank you all so much for remembering me today.

Sad news ~ Our dear furiend Cocoa crossed the Rainbow Bridge- during the early moring hours

Shortly before 8:30am EST, we got some very sad news. Auntie Barbi called Meowmy to tell her that our dear furiend Cocoa had crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He will always be a special part of our furmily and always in our hearts. He left some big pawprints in each of our hearts. We are all still in shock. Please remember Auntie Barbi and Unkie Rob and all the sad siblings that Cocoa has left behind to mourn and miss him. Cocoa was and is very special to my meowmy... she always loved to hear his cute little meows (sometimes very loud) as he chatted when Auntie Barbi and Meowmy were on the phone chatting. Rest in Peace, dear and special furiend. You will never be far from our hearts. We LOVE you, Cocoa.

My birthday finally continues....

Well, hiss and spit and pfffffftttt. Can you believe that my birthday was on the 12th and that my meowmy never got back to typing for me? On my birthday, Meowmy had an unwanted visitor from some chick named Dia Rhea. For some reason most of the day, Meowmy and Dia were in the human litter box. I figure that it was a planning session for yesterday and the work Meowmy and dad did in the litter box. You see, yesterday morning I did actually get Meowmy to type my gifties, comments and messages from sweet furiends BUT she saved it as a draft and never got back to my diary not did she publish it. Before publishing my diary, Meowmy got involved in the human litter box again. Meowmy and my dad tore out the cabinet over the litter box and then spent alot of time patching the wall and painting and putting the cabinet back up. I tell you, humans are furry strange creatures...

To make matters worse, my human brofur came over in the middle of the litter box work and Meowmy had to go outside to help him take some of our monkey grass/lirope and some butterfly bushes/buddelia. He needed 30 feet of monkey grass so that took a long time and last night Meowmy did not help me with my diary duties because she said she was too tired. So, I am leaving this dated yesterday (13th) since Meowmy started it yesterday but never finished and after yesterday's postings, I will note today's additions from yesterday.

This is where my notes begin from yesterday that were never added.

Yesterday, I recieved a yummy chocolate frosted cupcake from Navin R. Johnson-Davis. He said, "Happy belated birthday dear Sunflower! I hope you had wonderful day filled with love 7 lots of playing! You sure are darling in your Hazel Lucy ensemble! All my love, Navin R. Johnson-Davis" I think Navin makes delicious, heavenly cupcakes.

And I received several lovely birthday comments from Kaci Sunshineand her sweet furmily and River and his sweet furmily.

I really would like to thank all my furiends for helping me celebrate my 7th birthday with such love and caring. I felt furry special. I love you all furry much. I am sorry that my meowmy was not cooperating with me on my birthday and yesterday and publishing my birthday news. Should I put her in time out?

I am 7 years old today.

Today is my birthday! Yay. I am a big 7 years old today. Meowmy says that now over half of her "babies" are considered to be seniors (over 7 or over) but not all qualify for the cool group on Catster called "Olde Furts". Only 3 of my siblings are now under 7 years of feline wisdom! She says that we will always be her babies no matter how old we are. Isn't that just like a meowmy?

I woke up to find a fun mousie from some furry special furiends - Angel Wanda and her pawsome furmily. They said, "Happy Birthday dear friend, we read you liked mousies so here is another one for you. Hope you have a wonderful day! Lots of love, Wanda, Norman and family"

I know it will be a purrfectly beautipur day indeed.

Yesterday Catster lost the BEST of the best.

Yesterday was a very sad day, indeed, for my furmily and me and for so many Catster furiends. We were shocked and saddened to learn that our beloved furiend Hazel Lucy was to go to Heaven at 12:30 PM EST. Our meowmy had come home from getting her hair cut about 11:30 and turned on the catputer to see what was happening. She went to FB first and saw the posting about Hazel Lucy. The next hour we all spent our time crying and praying for Hazel Lucy and her wonderful meowmy Julie.

Hazel Lucy and her meowmy were and are such beautiful and caring souls who started the wonderful Purr Threads on Catster. Hazel Lucy touched all of our hearts in such a special way and she will always hold a very special place in our hearts and in the hearts of so many others. True love never dies and we do truly love Hazel Lucy and thank her for being a most special part of our lives.

Please keep Hazel Lucy and her meowmy Julie in your purrs and prayers during this sad and difficult time. We know that it is never easy to say our earthly goodbyes. We know that our lives will be reunited again one day and that, while absent from the earth, they are always present in our hearts.

We wanted to write yesterday but our meowmy just could not gather herself to help us. Hazel Lucy and Julie hold a very special place in our hearts and we found ourselves too devastated to write.

We still find ourselves shocked and deeply saddened but we know that Hazel Lucy is free of her earthly pain and is healthy again and is now happily reunited with her beloved furhusband Buddie. What a special reunion that was.

Hazel Lucy, we will forever love you and are so blessed to call you our furiend. Our meowmy is blessed, also, to call your meowmy a special friend. You are both dearly loved.

Happy Valentine's Day to my furiends.

Oh my kitty cats! I can't believe that it has been ten months since my meowmy has allowed me to paw in my diary. None of us have been pawing much but ten months is way too long. We have had lots going on in our furmily with different sickly kitties and issues and my human grandmother has had lots of problems with her health and my pawrents have had furry full plates. I was not one of the sickly kitties, thank goodness.

We lost too many furiends during this time. They had to go the Bridge and we have been furry sad about it. Each furiend lives in our hearts but it was just too hard to visit Catster.

Another reason we have not written in our diaries is the changes in Catster. For us, the changes made Catster so slow that Meowmy has not found the time to work with us on our diaries. Many of our furiends were put in the kennel for their comments about different things and we did not care for the punishment that our furiends received. We love our furiends furry much and it made us furry sad that they were being punished.

I want to wish all my furiends and their humans a very Happy Valentine's Day! Sending much love to all of you.

My meowmy's special furiend and Happy Earth Day.

Today, my meowmy had made plans with her special and longtime furiend. You see, Meowmy's furiend Daryle is one of the people she admires the most of anyone we know. Daryle was born with a condition of her eyes called Aniridia. Daryle's eyes were so bad that she was deemed legally blind with only some vision. As time went on, she lost more of her vision and had to go through several cornea transplants and even cataract surgery for the clouded lens. Daryle did NOT allow this to dampen her spirits. She was determined as she went through all of the surgeries to get her Master's Degree and took public transportation to UNC-Charlotte where she achieved this honor. Daryle became a counselor at a large local church and has become an inspiration to many. My meowmy is furry proud to be one of Daryle's furiends and they have had great fun with each other over the years. They (just Meowmy and Daryle) even took Daryle's two human children and three of my human siblings to Florida for almost a week on a furry limited budget. They saved so much money at Disney that they managed to squeeze two more nights in Daytona Beach. What a trip! Now, let me tell you that my meowmy and Daryle know how to squeeze blood out of a turnip when needed. Daryle has never given up and continues to wear her rose-colored glasses (Daryle's description of her view of life). Sadly, Daryle's vision is almost totally gone now and she basically sees only shades of greys. Meowmy says she doesn't know many people who would take the lemons that Daryle has been given and who could make such sweet lemonade. Daryle may have been given a little hope recently for some more vision with a doctor she found in Ohio who does artificial corneas. Daryle has had the limit of cornea transplants and has such scarring that nothing else can help her. My meowmy prays that this doctor can help her precious furiend.

You will all be happy to know that Meowmy did get the living room painted yesterday. However, the accent wall will require at least one more coat as it is a deep wine/merlot color. YIKES. Meowmy had as much paint on her as on the walls last night. Meowmy says we are on a schedule because we are getting two new furnaces and two new air conditioners on Wednesday and Thursday. Ours are furry old... maybe as old as my pawrents... no, nothing is that old! MOL. Three of the "items" are 37 years old and I KNOW my pawrents are at least as old as Methuselah. *looks around to see if her meowmy is about to snatch her furless*
