Arrival Story: I first spotted Cassidy at PetSmart. She did not get much attention by people when I was there. She was always trying to get attention from people and wanted to be petted through the bars. It seemed no one was interested in her so I filled out a form and ended up bringing her home with me.
Bio: Cassidy was evidently abused in her early life. She was 8 months old when we got her so I know nothing about her early life. She and her mom and other siblings were abandoned and she wound up in a foster home. All the others were adopted but Cassidy, even her mom to whom Cassidy was very attached. When we got her home she was terrified and it took a while for her to fit into our home. She has some visual and motor problems as well as having her esophagus collapse causing her to have to cough. She doesn't seem to know she had any problems, however, and is just one of us now. But she is still timid when people come over and, even after all these years with us, doesn't like for us to pick her up. She becomes very frightened when we pick her up... but, oh how she loves to be petted. Cassidy is very clumsy and has depth perception problems... rather amusing to watch... but saddens me at the same time.
I was furry surprised and shocked to see that I am a DDP honoree again today. Two of my furiends are also DDP honorees today. It is so nice to share this honor with Daenerys and her brofur Teebo. What a lovely day to be selected. The weather will be warm and sunny and I will have patches of sun in which to lay.
Thank you to Catster and the Diary Gal for picking me. Do you think they are picking me because I am getting old? MOL!!!
I received a nice message from Angel Buddie and his furmily. They said,

Thank you so much to both Auntie Dana and to Auntie Mary and Friday and the girls for making my purrty DDP memento pictures. They made them for me and sent them to my meowmy's Facebook page. Furry purrty pictures.
I received a lovely rose from Angel Sonny Bono and his sisfurs, a bouquet of tulips from Mac and his furmily and a lovely rainbow from my co-DDP honoree and my handsome brofur-in-law Angel Poo.
Thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate my DDP honor with beautifur pictures, messages and sweet gifties.
My pawrents are busy tearing our little area of our home apart while they are rebuilding and recreating the closet in the master bedroom. They are reclaiming what they said is useless and wasted space. The former owners made a small walk in closet but it was really useless because they took the linen closet away and took the closet in the small bedroom away and made them into one closet that was virtually wasted and unusable space. So, my pawrents are claiming the two closets back and making the linen closet again. Well, in doing this, they have STUFF all over the downstairs but mainly in the dining room. Meowmy said she hopes my dad works faster than normal because Easter will be coming about 3 weeks and we always have lots of family and furiends over for Easter dinner and an Easter egg hunt for the young ones and right now the house is a wreck and the dining room table is buried under closet stuff. Then yesterday my dad piled the lumber and such in the living room floor. Meowmy has that annoyed look already.
Yesterday was a very sad day, indeed, for my furmily and me and for so many of our Catster furiends. We were shocked and saddened to learn that our beloved furiend Chelsea Louise took a turn for the worst and made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge. Catster lost one of it's best when Chelsea was called away. We will forever love you, Chelsea. You made us smile always.
