I am a big 13 years of age today!

Today is my 13th birthday. Wheee... Meowmy says that I had better NOT act like a true teenager. I guess I had better mind my P's & Q's. This has been a stressful week for us. My brofur Prince had to have surgery on the 10th to remove a small lump my meowmy found on his right shoulder. We found out the results from his biopsy on the 13th and Meowmy has been a little distracted. We did not get wonderpurr news and would like to ask for purrs and prayers for my brofur. He may have some type of cancer. The biopsy they did came back suspicious and the one who did the biopsy wants to do more testing to determine what is truly going on with Prince. He needs some strong purrs... we do beliEVE and we know prayer works. Thank you.

Hooch went to his specialist on Wednesday and overall his report was okay. His white count is low so the specialist reduced his Leukeran to every 5 days and his insulin was reduced to 2 units two times a day. He has not acted well this week and threw up lots of fluid on Friday evening. Meowmy is concerned about him, too. She is fearful of that horrid pancreatitis again.

On a GOOD note, I got a sweet birthday pmail from DA TABBIES O TROUT TOWNE. And I got a purrty bouquet of tulips from Big Harry and his pawsome furmily. Thank you for helping me celebrate my 13th birthday.

Sad news ~ Our dear furiend Cocoa crossed the Rainbow Bridge- during the early moring hours

Shortly before 8:30am EST, we got some very sad news. Auntie Barbi called Meowmy to tell her that our dear furiend Cocoa had crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He will always be a special part of our furmily and always in our hearts. He left some big pawprints in each of our hearts. We are all still in shock. Please remember Auntie Barbi and Unkie Rob and all the sad siblings that Cocoa has left behind to mourn and miss him. Cocoa was and is very special to my meowmy... she always loved to hear his cute little meows (sometimes very loud) as he chatted when Auntie Barbi and Meowmy were on the phone chatting. Rest in Peace, dear and special furiend. You will never be far from our hearts. We LOVE you, Cocoa.

Finally I am back to finish telling about my birthday.

Yesterday, Meowmy was furry naughty all day long. After leaving early in the morning for a silly ol' Red Hat Society meeting and then coming home and immediately going outside to do yard work, she did not come inside until after 7 PM and then she and my dad cleaned up and went to dinner with some family members and they did not get home until past 9 PM. Well, what a way to celebrate my birthday... on the other hand, I did not have to wear the hat and have pictures taken. Maybe it was a "wash". MOL. I had a great day to spite my "treatment". I am seriously considering putting Meowmy in some type of time out.

I am 12 years old today!

Today is my 12th birthday! Do you know what MY meowmy did to celebrate? Well, she left home about 8:30AM this morning to go to a Red Hat Society meeting with HER furiends. What? She did not take me and it is MY birthday. Fine way to treat me on my birthday. Now it is the lunch hour and Meowmy is just getting home. AND... she told me she is going to go outside to do some yard work... do you think that is fair? I think I need to have a little chat with my meowmy about this treatment on my birthday.

I got the POP from the ARG. The ARG said, "Hi Mojo, we saw you on the Hazel Lucy "Get well Purr List" and we're hoping that your pancreatitis isn't troubling you. We just wanted to let you know that we are purring for you!" Thank you, ARG. I still need purrs and we are waiting to do more bloodwork to see what it says about my issues. But, for the most part, I am having good days right now. Meowmy hopes it will stay this way for a long time to come.

Yesterday the ol' doc doc hurt my bum and I got more- concats.

Well, hiss and spit. Meowmy did it again yesterday. First, she captured me while I was sleeping peacefully in my morning siesta. She crammed me into my prison carrier and off we sped to the doc doc to get my weekly shot. NOOOOOOOOOO.

When I arrived, they weighed me. I weighed 11 pounds yesterday. What? Dr. Booker's scales may need replacing. They have been acting funny. But, IF it is correct, that was a pawsome weight gain.

Dr. Booker was not in and I saw Dr. Elliott. Do you know what he did? He stabbed me in my hiney AGAIN. I squealed with displeasure. I never do that. It really hurt. Pfffffftttt. I almost killed myself jumping out of Amy's arms and getting back into my carrier. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO done with the doc doc after that. And I heard them say, "We will see you next week!" NOT if I can help it!

I was anxious to check my page but Meowmy had other plans. She worked outside in the yard, cutting back bushes. You should see her hands... the roses left their marks for sure. Serves her right for NOT allowing me back on my page.

Hooch went to see Dr. Jaeger yesterday. I will let him paw about his visit when Meowmy hears from the test results they did. Dr. Jaeger was in a big hurry because his little baby was sick and he had to leave to take him to the human doc doc.

Last night, I heard my meowmy tell my dad that today I have to go to the doc doc for my B12 shot at 10:00... gotta find a hiding place fast. Chat more later.

I am a DDP today! Whoopee!

Oh boy. I woke up this morning to learn that I had been chosen as one of today's DDP honorees. Thank you to Catster HQ and to the Diary Gal for selecting me. Seems that my furmily is almost always selected after an embarrassing moment and not after we talk about snow or flowers or the likes.

Well, Meowmy decided to not wait until next week to decide whether I would get an appetite stimulant. In the afternoon, she came to me a shoved this little partial (1/8) pill down my throat. Purrty soon, it actually worked. I was begging and begging. Meowmy fed me and I begged some more. Meowmy told me that I was a little agitated. I tried to tell her that I was not an agitated... I am a cat... and I am NOT little. Pffffftttt. This morning I ate all my breakfast, too. I guess I have my appetite back.

My update on my doc doc visit.

I am writing my update on my visit to the doc doc on the 17th. I had to go back for my B12 shot. Meowmy told me it would be a weekly thing for at least a month.. I just wish I knew how long a week was....

I could not really write about this on the 17th as we were deeply mourning the loss of our beloved furiend Hazel Lucy. It will take a very long time for this to heal but we know that Hazel Lucy's good deeds will never end. I know Hazel Lucy will be sprinkling her caring angel dust over many to help care for them from Heaven.

I had lost 3/10 of a pound in the week since we were at the doc doc's last. Meowmy is hoping that it was a glitch in the scales but we don't know. I am still eating purrty good but Meowmy said that depending on my weight on the 24th, we may add the appetite stimulant again. She wants to be sure it was the scales and not my weight loss before giving me the stimulant since I am eating purrty good... normal for sure. I did get a shot in the hiney again. OUCH.

Yesterday Catster lost the BEST of the best.

Yesterday was a very sad day, indeed, for my furmily and me and for so many Catster furiends. We were shocked and saddened to learn that our beloved furiend Hazel Lucy was to go to Heaven at 12:30 PM EST. Our meowmy had come home from getting her hair cut about 11:30 and turned on the catputer to see what was happening. She went to FB first and saw the posting about Hazel Lucy. The next hour we all spent our time crying and praying for Hazel Lucy and her wonderful meowmy Julie.

Hazel Lucy and her meowmy were and are such beautiful and caring souls who started the wonderful Purr Threads on Catster. Hazel Lucy touched all of our hearts in such a special way and she will always hold a very special place in our hearts and in the hearts of so many others. True love never dies and we do truly love Hazel Lucy and thank her for being a most special part of our lives.

Please keep Hazel Lucy and her meowmy Julie in your purrs and prayers during this sad and difficult time. We know that it is never easy to say our earthly goodbyes. We know that our lives will be reunited again one day and that, while absent from the earth, they are always present in our hearts.

We wanted to write yesterday but our meowmy just could not gather herself to help us. Hazel Lucy and Julie hold a very special place in our hearts and we found ourselves too devastated to write.

We still find ourselves shocked and deeply saddened but we know that Hazel Lucy is free of her earthly pain and is healthy again and is now happily reunited with her beloved furhusband Buddie. What a special reunion that was.

Hazel Lucy, we will forever love you and are so blessed to call you our furiend. Our meowmy is blessed, also, to call your meowmy a special friend. You are both dearly loved.

I had a surprise doc doc morning.

Well, Meowmy did it again. Today, I was napping happily, dreaming of catnip fields and romping about in them. The next thing I knew, I was being rudely awakened by my meowmy and was shoved into the prison carrier. I resent this intrusion into my dreams. Pffffftttt. It was almost 10AM. Hmmm.

We arrived at Dr. Booker's and I was weighed. I had gained a little weight and was 10.6 pounds. This is good.

Dr. Booker was not there so I had to see Dr. Elliott. He looked over me and asked Meowmy how I was doing and, while they were talking, he had the nerve to stick me in my hiney area with a needle. He said it was my B12 shot but I did not appreciate his intrusion into my private area.

My pawrents brought me home after the ordeal and I ran off to find a hiding place. It worked for a while but now I am out and about and want to tell my furiends about my morning. I overheard that it will happen again next Thursday. When is Thursday? I need to find a great hiding place before then.
