Arrival Story: Precious was originally rescuedand adopted by an elderly lady who loves cats and has fostered and rescued/adopted many over the years. This lady became ill and was becoming unable to care for Precious and we found out about her through an ad in the newspaper while trying to help my sister-in-law in adopting a cat. This elderly woman had two in need of a home and we got Precious while my sister-in-law got the other one.
Yesterday was a very sad day, indeed, for my furmily and me and for so many of our Catster furiends. We were shocked and saddened to learn that our beloved furiend Chelsea Louise took a turn for the worst and made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge. Catster lost one of it's best when Chelsea was called away. We will forever love you, Chelsea. You made us smile always. You take care of my brofurs Hooch and Prince and my sisfurs Clawdia, Fire and Kujo, please.
A mention of my eye. It is still red and seems to be bothering me a little. I am using my eye ointment but it does not seem to be working well. Meowmy may call my doc doc on Monday and get a new medicine.
I see it has been seven months since my last diary which was my birthday. I have been doing pretty well. Meowmy tells me I am getting too chunky but I really don't eat any more than my siblings.
I have been having lots of eye boogers as Meowmy calls them. Mainly blackish, hard crust on my right eye. That is fairly normal for me, however. Today Meowmy noticed a bigger black crust on my right eye. She cleaned it and noticed my eye was looking too pink/red. Well, the lid was red. So, she called the doc doc and scheduled an appointment for me this afternoon.
When we got to the doc doc's, the lot was almost full and when we went inside, there were lots of dogs and cats. A busy day for sure. We had to sit in the front waiting room, which we almost never have to do. Finally, they called us back but we had to go to one of the dog rooms because the cat room was busy.
We waited a good while and finally they came and took my weight and vitals. I was 10 pounds and 3 ounces but I look much heavier. Dr. Montgerard finally came in and checked me. She stained my eye to be sure there were no scratches or anything like that. She said all looked okay. She put me on Neo-Poly-Dex Opthamalic Ointment 3 times a day. I am to do this for 10 days.
I am 8 years old today. It has been a pawsome day. I have just taken it furry easy, like kitties do. I got a lovely birthday picture from Rory and furmily and some lovely gifties and messages. Thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate my 8th birthday.
