Arrival Story:
He belonged to a friend of my ex-brother-in-law. He attacked my e-b-i-l (ripped his arm to shreds), and the friend was going to have him put down or take him to animal control, so my e-b-i-l asked if I wanted to take him instead. I said yes. He was a year old and had never been neutered or had any vaccinations. The day after I got him, he bit me while I was petting him. I took him to the vet for his vaccinations, and the vet said because he had bitten me and had not been vaccinated for rabies yet, he had to go into quarantine. He had to stay at the vet's office for 10 days. I got turned into animal control for having a cat that was not vaccinated for rabies (even though I had just acquired him the day before), and I had to go to court. Luckily I got off with a warning. Anyway, he was cleared from quarantine, got vaccinated, got neutered, and has been fine ever since. Turned out he had ear mites that were making him very uncomfortable and cranky and that is probably why he bit me. He is now sweet and very good-natured, after a very rough start.
