October's Party

October's Party

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

PAWTY TIME!!

It's my 4th Birthday and I am having a Fantastic Day!! In fact the food start arriving a couple of days ago and the wishes and gifts warms this Kitty's heart!!

Mom tells me that I am blessed to be healthy enough to have a birthday today! I sort of, almost, got myself into a pickle Saturday. I brought a female blue jay into the house, when Mom and Dad saw what I had, they both came after me, but I ran back out the Kitty Window!!

While outside Mom was unable to take the bird back from me (I'm too quick). Mom looked at me and said that one day those birds are going to group up and take care of me. Later Dad heard a squawking and took off outdoors, with Mom not far behind. He thought I was torturing that bird, but it was a male Blue Jay and He was MAD!! He was swooping at any cat he could see. I was over at the side, letting the female bird lay in front of me, but that Blue Jay was dive bombing Alley Mae, Meeko, even saw Lila Mae duck under a car!!

He flew back and forth, back and forth. Mom took the female and put her under some brush along the creek, in hopes he would see here (sadly, when I checked later the bird had died--my husband says that is nature. I just do not like it!!) That Blue Jay flew back and forth, sqawking, for over an hour. One time mom came out and he swooped down really low to the ground, guess who chased him,.....YEP it was Me!! :) Mom just shook her head and told me I was asking for it!!

Well I am here and I am healthy still!! Mom has sang to me twice already and I fear there will be more songs coming. I am happy that Mom is not Bella-sitting today and can be home with me. She gave my litter-bro Mau his Birthday Banana Friday and He loves it!! So does his furbros Mo and Liam. Not too sure about his sisfur Cocoa, she hides when she hears mom coming.

Hi Friends

I am doing great. Getting ready to celebrate my 4th Birthday. Mom has already given me my gift, a new catnip banana. She also got one for my litter bro Mau (she's his grandma now). We both reacted with them about the same, attack, licked then tossed around.

I have been doing great. Missing Mom, when she comes home, I'm on the deck to greet her; then I follow her around. I also follow her outside when she has to leave, watch her from the deck as she goes.
We all know that Mom misses us and it takes time for all of us to catch up with Mom on our cuddles.
