Arrival Story:
In May 1988 my sister and I brought her new kitten, Tosca, to the vet for a checkup and shots. The vet not only returned that kitten to us, but he brought out another one too: a teeny tiny fluffball who had been abandoned by someone at his practice. We couldn't resist her and went home with two kittens instead of one. Kimba, the tiny fluffball, was the best unplanned adoption ever.

Bio:
Kimmie passed away just before her 16th birthday in Spring 2004. All her life she was insistently and sweetly clingy, needing a special animal companion to nestle with and follow around. As a baby she had first adopted my patient oldest cat Cica. She used to sleep curled up on his back... even long after she'd grown too big to try... Cica always let her. When he passed away, after a period of deep grieving and inability to connect to another cat, Kimba finally attached herself to a newcomer, my basset hound Jasmine. The two were inseparable at naptime. In her last years she ruled a house with two younger cats as well as the dog... and she is very much missed.
