Arrival Story:
I was a fostererer for a local rescue group when I received a distraught phone call, a kind lady had rescued a kitten from a gang of youths who had poured petrol over him.I dashed down and there was this tiny kitten frantically trying to wash himself (only 8 weeks old). I took him home and bathed him over and again, he never complained and purred as if he knew I was trying to help him. From that day we were inseperable, he followed me everywhere and I would take him with me when I went out. If I went to a friends he would sit by me on their settee until I went home, purring and taking everything in. When I went to bed I would say "Poppet bedtime" and he put his paws up to be picked up. I carried him to bed and he stayed with me all night. When I went out he would greet me when I came in and was so pleased to see me. He was so funny with my foster kittens and they adored him. He would play with them and bite them. When I said "Poppet, be gentle, he would wash them, when I turned away he would bite them again. They didn't seem to mind and would fly back to him. He loved fireworks and we used to watch them on November 5th (from inside) and he got really excited. If I was with him he wasn't frightened of anything. He adored Gwinny, my little feral cat, and would wash her and assure her everything was ok. She went into a decline when he died. He started being sick in 2004 and I took him to the vets, who assured me he was ok, but I knew he wasn't. I kept taking him back and finally they did an x-ray and said he had cancer. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks before he died and I knew I should have had him put to sleep before. I'll never forgive myself but hoped he'd get better and could have treatment. He loved me unconditionally and I'll never forget him. I think about him every day. He was my littlle fur soulmate.

I feel sure the petrol he digested when a kitten caused his illness.

It's my 4 Years Bridge Anniversary Today

It's 4 years today since I left mum and went to the Bridge!

I'm going to sprinkle loads of angel dust on her to make her feel better as I can see how sad she is and I know she'll never stop missing me.

We had nine wonderful years together and had a special bond which will never be broken. I'm with my angel brofurs and sisfurs now and have lots of special friends here and every day is like a party!!!

Thankyou to all my dear friends for your lovely gifts and messages for my 14th Birthday yesterday. Thankyou also to my PenPaws pals (such a kind and caring group) for your best wishes also.

It was a bittersweet day for my mummy. She just ached to hold me in her arms again but remembered all my loving ways and silly antics. Mummy doesn't look at my pictures very often 'cos it upsets her so much. I was her little soulmate and did everything with her. I hope that doesn't sound awful 'cos mummy loves all her furry babies with all her heart but I suppose I was the one who interacted with her the most every day of my life.

I'd like to say a big thankyou to all my friends for the gifts, which all came with such beautiful messages:-
