He loved cuddling up to his mummy.
Getting up too early in the morning.
His catnip mouse.
Favorite Nap Spot:
In bed with his mummy
Tuna in spring water and tuna imperial
He knew when any cat or human was ill and used to comfort them
indoors and outdoors
I was a fostererer for a local rescue group when I received a distraught phone call, a kind lady had rescued a kitten from a gang of youths who had poured petrol over him.I dashed down and there was this tiny kitten frantically trying to wash himself (only 8 weeks old). I took him home and bathed him over and again, he never complained and purred as if he knew I was trying to help him. From that day we were inseperable, he followed me everywhere and I would take him with me when I went out. If I went to a friends he would sit by me on their settee until I went home, purring and taking everything in. When I went to bed I would say "Poppet bedtime" and he put his paws up to be picked up. I carried him to bed and he stayed with me all night. When I went out he would greet me when I came in and was so pleased to see me. He was so funny with my foster kittens and they adored him. He would play with them and bite them. When I said "Poppet, be gentle, he would wash them, when I turned away he would bite them again. They didn't seem to mind and would fly back to him. He loved fireworks and we used to watch them on November 5th (from inside) and he got really excited. If I was with him he wasn't frightened of anything. He adored Gwinny, my little feral cat, and would wash her and assure her everything was ok. She went into a decline when he died. He started being sick in 2004 and I took him to the vets, who assured me he was ok, but I knew he wasn't. I kept taking him back and finally they did an x-ray and said he had cancer. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks before he died and I knew I should have had him put to sleep before. I'll never forgive myself but hoped he'd get better and could have treatment. He loved me unconditionally and I'll never forget him. I think about him every day. He was my littlle fur soulmate.
I feel sure the petrol he digested when a kitten caused his illness.

If I left him, he would miaow and carry on when I got home as if he was scolding me for leaving him.
My vet once took a photo of Poppet and said he had the longest whiskers he had ever seen!

It's 5 years today since I left my loving mummy and flew to the Bridge. She said it was one of the worst days of her life when I left her. We had a furry special bond which will never be broken.
Don't be sad mummy 'cos I'm having a lovely time here with my angel brofurs and sisfurs and dear furriends. Give my little Gwinny a hug from me - she was my special furmate and really grieved for me when I left her. I'm so pleased she sleeps on your bed at night cuddled up to you now instead of me!
We have so many new angels here and their mummies feel just like you did when I left. They are all very happy here, like me, and we know we'll all meet up with our loving pawrents and sisfurs and brofurs again.
Lots of love and angel kisses

Thankyou so much to my friends for all the lovely messages and gifts for my 15th Birthday! They helped to make my birthday special!
Mum lit a birthday candle for me - it was lavender and vanilla and smelled so good. She shed a few tears 'cos she still misses me as much as ever but I sprinkled some angel dust on her and that made her feel better and think about all the wonderful times we had together!
A big thankyou to:-
Humphrey, Roger and Angel Greta for the heart.
Adam Dylan, Eve Layla and family for the heart. (I'm purring for you both to feel better).
Angel Zack and family for my birthday hat. (Sending lots of purrs to Lucy and Claire).
Angel Wanda, Norman, Tess and family for the mousie.
Casey, Grace, Leo and Frankie for the shrimpie.
Orkney, Arrow, Tara, Zephyr & Bunty for the rainbow.
My sisfurs, brofurs and mummy for the gold star and candle.
Love & angel kisses to you All
