Arrival Story:
Petey was at the animal shelter in Howard County, Maryland. He had been surrendered by a girl whose boyfriend gave him to her as a gift. When he got bigger and less kitten-cute, she decided she didn't need/want him. He was a huge, fluffy, active boy, and had a large cage to himself. He was spinning in circles and diving under his blanket to chase a toy, but once we picked him up and held him, he went limp like a little furry worm. That's how we knew he was the one. Before choosing him, we had to make sure he got along with Max, the other cat we chose at the shelter at the same time. The first time they met they licked each other and played...it was love at first sight!
