Arrival Story: Patches arrived at our home after a storm. She was about 4 months old and my son Donald named her Patches for the color of her coat.
We had recentley added 4 kittens to our family and she fit right in with the gang. She was very loving with several of the kittens. She is quite the "mommy" at times; cleaning, snuggling and discipling.
Patches has been spayed.

Bio: After she was with us for a little while my son pointed out that there seemed to be something wrong with her paws. I thought they were deformed and took her to the vet. He explained that she had "mitten paws" and was perfectly healthy. Her front paws look like "mittens" they have the normal 5 digits, but her "thumbs" are the same length as the other 4 toes. She has an extra toe on both rear paws.
Patches does not have a littermate in our home, but has many "brothers and sisters."

What a beautiful day it is today. The sunshine is gorgeous and it is not too hot yet. :)
I also want to let my furiends know that Ralph, my angel fiance, and I will be marrying either later summer or early fall. I cannot wait. We almost married before, but there were circumstances that prevented our wedding. Then sadly My Ralph went to the bridge.
We are excited about our wedding and hope our furiends will be able to join us.
Love,
Patches

I had not heard from Ralph for several months because of his Mama moving and then having no computer since July. I have really missed seeing him and sad to not hear from him.
Today he sent me a message from the bridge that he had gone missing on November 29th. After a couple of weeks, he visited his Mama and let her know that he was okay at the Bridge.
I will miss you Sweet Ralph. You have taken a part of my heart with you.
Love,
Patches

October's Party
By: George Cooper
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."
