Right now cheese (I am even able to put his pill in a small ball of cheese-works great).
Someone getting to close to his face--he may swat. He's so mellow now, he even backs off if they want his special food. (So we look out for him there.)
Foils from candies that are rolled up and thrown for him to chase was his fave. Now, he enjoys watching them roll, but doesn't chase them.
Favorite Nap Spot:
A blue towel, folded up and lying on the loveseat or the back of the loveseat. Evenings he lays next to mommie, staying on the floor.
Hill's Science Diet c/d.
Always ending up under mommie's feet when she goes to get up from the computer. He is so quiet.

My son, Donald and I were at a auto business in Racine, OH to pick up a vehicle. While we were waiting this tiny, little kitten began talking to me, he was in a chair behind the counter. I started talking with him and one of the owners (Bev) handed him to me and told us how they had found him that morning in a dumpster behind the shop (the lid had been closed on him, but they heard him crying). She said that he had not talked to either of them in the way that he was talking with me. I held him and he curled up under my neck. She said she thought that he had found a home (she was a dog person). Donald gave me a look and I knew he was coming home with us. He was so small (about 5 to 6 weeks old) that he curled under my chin all the way home.
Donald had errands to run and did not come straight home. By the time he did get home his sister, Mary Beth, had already named Oreo, because of the black and white colorings. Our vet says he has Siamese in him. Oreo has been neutered.
Oreo does not have a littermate in our home but he does have many "brothers and sisters."

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

What a great day I am having. Lots of attention, both Mom and Donald are home today. Mom has sang to me already a few times and Donald has given me lots of attention.
Even Miss Cali Ann has gotten into the party mood, trying to swat me. Mom told her that I was 9, but I refuse to let her swat me 9 times!! MOL
Well off to enjoy my Pawties today. Our wonderful friends George, Merry, Their families and friends at The Doghouse is having one as well as Sugar, Buster, Coco and friends at Our Daily Walk. I know there will be plenty of cake, so every-fur stop by for a piece!!
I also want to thank Max & KCK; Callie Rose & B&G; Toby Aragorn and FPC for the GREAT pics and Birthday wishes.
My friends have been sending gifts and wishes. You are the BEST!! I am blessed to have each one of you in my life and I feel so honored to have you join me in celebrating my Birthday.

Hi everyone. Mom is finally updating our pictures and I thought that I would jump in and write a quick entry.
I have been doing pretty good. Mom took me off the hormone Ovaban late last year, because I started loosing weight. One side affect is gaining weight (which I had done up to 16.4 lbs last Feb) and then I started loosing, which can be from another side effect, diabetes. Mom had been warned that should it happen, once I went off the medication, the diabetes would go away. So in December, when I was down to 13.8 lbs, mom stopped the med.
I was put on ovaban to help my behavior, which helped me to stop peeing everywhere in the house (I am down to one or two places outside the litterbox) and being abusive toward other cats. Now being off the med, I am playing with toys, hanging out with other cats and enjoying walks outside once again. Mom says we will deal with the peeing issue for now (but I am not as bad as I use to be). I continued to loose down to 12.2 and staying there. Mom stays I look great and the vet says I am pretty much at my ideal weight.
I am having allergies this year, have licked off tummy fur and some on my legs; but the vet gave me a shot and things should be fine there, once the fur comes back in.
I am still trying to figure out why mom thought we needed another fur around here. That little Cali Ann is a spitfire. She will come right up to my face and hiss at me. I usually just shrug her off and go on my way. Mom has seen me swat at her a couple of times, but she will run off, then come back, hiss again and then go and sit down and just stare at me.
I am enjoying the summer days, I lay on the deck and relax. I take walks into the field behind the house like I use to do. I will be 9 in September, looking forward to it.
