Arrival Story:
A friend and co-worker of my mother's took in a stray neighborhood cat when she realized that she was pregnant. She gave birth to five kittens, all black/white and female except for one who was a striped brown male. Zephyr was given the first (temporary) name of Blake and at six weeks old was given away. Less than 24hrs later he was returned because he had hissed at the recipients large dog. Since I wanted a kitty so badly, I met with him and decided he was most definitely more of a Zephyr than a Blake and took him home. Being the only boy, they were sad to see him go, but they had their hands full with his mother and sister Swimmer. He was very affectionate from the start and adjusted well to his new home, going so far as befriending my roommate's boston terrier Buster.
