Arrival Story:
I was looking for a kitten to keep Christmas company - she loves to play and Valentine wouldn't play with her. I kept checking the paper and EVERY time I'd call all the kittens would already be gone! At the time I also worked part-time at a deli, and one of the teenagers that I "mothered" called me and asked if I still wanted a kitten. YES! Her mom works at a 911 call center and someone just dropped off this sad, somewhat feral kitten. She had taken her home to Ashley, but after two weeks said Ashley didn't have the kind of time a kitten required. So I went to pick her up. What a pretty girl! A tuxedo kitten with two black spots on her nose that as she grew up blended together. Anyway, on the way home I stuck my fingers into the door to comfort her crying self and she said, "OH I SEE!" and stuck her paws out and proceeded to shred my hand trying to get out. She turned out to be a real momma's girl, preferring that I don't get company. When I got her fixed at the humane society's low-cost spay/neuter center, they asked me if she was feral when I picked her up! That was funny. They had to pull her out of her crate, she wouldn't come out! Then as they all do, she put on some weight, only she got HUGE. She barely gets any food (and for the most part keeps her nose in her own bowl) and she is just huge. She waddles! I don't know what to do about it, but she is happy and loves to clean my face for me when I go to bed at night. She cleans my hands and face and gives me love bites (which are a bit too loving at times!), and then climbs on her pillow to sleep.

Bio:
She is only one of two in my "cat family" that aren't related in any way. She has the most beautiful eyes, and the most beautiful, fullest whiskers in the whole wide world! It's a shame she didn't get the same start my other babies did, she has the potential to be a real lap cat...but at least she loves ME!
