Attention, playing with wand toys and his friend Makawao (the neighbor's kitten), emptying bags and the trash can, watching the toilet flush, attacking ankles, snuggles.
NOT getting attention or playtime. Other then that, not much! He doesn't even mind the vacuum cleaner and even attacks it when it's on.
A wand toy with a fake fur "mouse" on the end. His buddy Mak.
Favorite Nap Spot:
His "kitty cup", or next to mom or Oberon.
Solid Gold Indigo moon grain free kibble, Nature's Variety freeze dried raw chicken and turkey diet , sold gold blended tuna with Prairie Nature's variety raw chicken diet mixed in. Whole life freeze dried chicken treats.
He's starting to walk on a leash. He "talks back" when you talk to him. Follows me like a dog during all his waking hours. Does a weird little trick; I hold him up in the air and say "Kunte Kit-tay"! and he stretches out as far as he can.
I've been searching for a male Turkish Angora since my half Turk Peewee passed away in 2003. They aren't easy to find in America; there just aren't that many breeders out there, and Petfinder very rarely has a real Turk up for adoption (every one I found was adopted out before I could even apply for it)! I finally found Pips through a breeder in Connecticut and he has all the classic TA traits, though he's extra silly. He loves everyone, whether or not they love him. Too bad there aren't more people in the world like that!
Here I had only wanted ONE purebred cat and I ended up with three due to a five year search for a little male Turkish Angora. I've done pet rescue before, so I know I'll probably only be adopting rescues from this point on-though I throughly enjoy Oberon, Puck, and now little Pippin!
The young daughter of his breeder named him "Mr. Pippers" because he always made little "pip" sounds to get attention (mostly when he wanted to be picked up). I altered the name slightly in honor of my father's late cat, a black and white domestic short hair named Pippin-though he still gets called Pippers from time to time.
