Arrival Story:
I was adopted through the Cats Protection League here in the UK. When the CPL took me on via a vet, I had a broken jaw and head trauma the vet said that my injuries were caused by a kick or being thrown against something. I have impaired vision and Nystagmus (bouncing eyes). I have been with my new mum and dad for four months and I love them very much.

Despite being visually impared, I am very good at chasing balls and rolled up bags, sometimes I run into things but I don't hurt myself. I am very good at climbing trees and have now mastered the art of getting down .

That Darn Clicker!

I don't like that clicker thing mum's got to try and train me (I thought training would be good fun but not with that darn clicker!) It doesn't scare me, I just don't like it! Remember I told you I could do 'come' and 'up on lap' well I won't even entertain it if that darn clicker is involved, I don't like it and I won't do it - so there! I walk off in a huff, but I make sure I get some tasty treats first.

Mum was so excited about training me and thought the clicker would be useful because of my bad eyesight, now she's got to find another way he he, dad even said to mum, "who's training who here?" I still go to my mum and dad when they call me, sometimes I ignore them but mostly I go to them - especially if I smell a treat!

It's all good practice for these hoomans you know, gotta keep em on their toes.

Clickers and Critters

My mum's going to buy a clicker tomorrow, she's got her copy of 'Train your cat in 10 minutes' so soon I will be a well trained kitty.

I can already do 'come' and 'jump onto lap' , but Mum really wants me to learn how to walk on a lead. I'm safe in our back garden but because of my impaired vision I can't go out into the front garden. Our road is fairly quiet but mum doesn't think I'll cope very well. When I can walk on the lead I can go for walks with mum and dad in the local park and in the forest. There are squirrels and birds in the back garden and I think there may be mice but I haven't seen them yet and yesterday I nearly caught a huge bumble bee! I wonder what other critters I will find when I go out into the big wide world . . . . . . . . . ?

Well I don't know what came over yesterday, I just felt CCCRRRAAAZZZYYY! I played 'chase me' with my dad for hours, wore him out he he. Then when mum came home from work I thought she looked like she could do with a little 'chase me' action. I ran into the garden with mum running after me making those funny noise she always makes when we play this game, sort of like a ghost laugh - it makes me run faster. When I stop running and realise mum's not behind me, I creep up to the back door, I know she's hiding but I still peep around the door, "WHOOO HA HAAAAA", I jump in the air and run as fast as I can back into the garden. I love it!!! I can play this game all day long indoors or out, but unfortunately mum and dad get tired more quickly than me. Its a hard job, but someone's got to keep these hoomans in check. I wonder what game's I can get them to play tomorrow? . . . . . . . . . .

Oh yeah, I got an early valentines gift - a rosette from the very handsome Leo - check him out on my friends list - is he cute or what. I am a lucky girl!
