Over the Rainbow Bridge *R.I.P* Timmy - December 23, 2010

I was at work and someone kept calling my cell phone but not leaving a message. It was annoying me! Finally when I was off work around 1:30 I answered. The voice on the phone sounded nervous, she asked whose number it was, and told me she had some bad news, she had hit my cat. I said "oh my god! which one?" and she said a grey and white kitty. I thought it was Horace, but I could've sworn I had let her out to potty then back in the house.

When I got home, just as the nice lady had said, my kitty was laying by my front porch. It was not Horace, it was Timmy, the cat I'd had the longest,who showed up out of nowhere covered in fleas and dirt, and had been through several moves and lots of ups and downs with me. I screamed, "oh no! Not my Timmy!" I picked him up. He just looked asleep, except for a drop of blood on the corner of his mouth.

I paced back and forth, not believing it, not knowing what to do. Timmy was an inside/outside cat. Mostly he wanted to sit near me and when he was out, he'd roll around on the sidewalk or porch and stretch and bask in the sun.

I finally dug a hole under the big tree in my backyard. October 2008 I had to bury Angel there after my husband's dog attacked and fatally injured her. In the summer of 2010 my cat Sanford (a rescue who had been feral) mysteriously died and he was buried there. I picked a perfect spot for Timmy. It was snowing outside, I had snot running down my nose and tears streaming down my face. I wrapped my Timmy in some of my snowflake flannel pajamas and laid him to rest.

My Christmas was ruined, i didn't want to see or talk to anyone. I miss my boy. Why does God have to let bad stuff happen when it should be the happiest time of year?

Rest in Peace my little buddy.... I hope you are enjoying the green grass, sunshine , and pet friends over the rainbow bridge.

My new sister on steroids

Ok so mom brings home this black thing with long legs and a pointy nose and it does not meow, it barks and whines. I believe it's a tall cat on steroids. Whatever it is, i hate it! It chases me, bites my tail, and is sooo noisy! Plus it leaves poopies on my nice clean floor under the dining room table. What was mom thinking? I am being nice to Angel now, because at least we both hate that tall cat. Gracie is dumb and she actually likes to play with that tall noisy cat thing. Oh well she is young and stupid....

December 18, 2004

Well it's almost Christmas and I'm ready. Mama will bring me some leftover turkey from Christmas dinner. My sister Gracie is being a little monster (as always) and knocked down the Christmas tree 4 times. Mama keeps yelling at her calling her a maniac and a monster and says she is going to beat her. I don't think she will. Gracie's too cute to spank. My mama is a cheapskate and won't turn the heater high at night so I have to snuggle with Gracie on the bed. It is cool that mama lets us sleep in the middle of the bed and she is just at the edge trying to stay on the bed under the covers. When I sleep at night I hug Gracie. If she wasn't my sister I think I'd like to hook up with her. She has a boyfriend named Mister who is always outside. I think for Christmas I'll give mama a hairball. I already tried to decorate by unrolling 2 rolls of toilet paper, but I had to go lick my stomach so I didn't have time to put the paper up in the living room. Oh well there's always next year.
