Arrival Story:
When I first started at the animal shelter the cats brought in by the police went into cages out next to dog strays. In July this black and gray tiger cat was brouhgt in, everytime I walked by him he would scream at me untill I stopped and gave him attention. The day he was neutered I was helping out the cat department by cleaning out police strays. He was definitley having a Hunter S. Thompson moment, and you could just tell he was all doped up, he was acting crazy. While I was cleaning out the cage below him he was trying to attack my hair, I looked up and he poked me in the eye. They moved him after he had been in police strays for about a month. Once a week I was scheduled to clean cats, and I would always start in the room Homer was in. I would let him run around, he would sit on my shoulder as I cleaned out the other cages; we would have a great time. Then sometime around September I stopped working in cats and spent all week in dogs. When that happened he got really depressed and really sick. I would go visit him in ISO, and you could tell his spirits would lift everytime I went in there. I begged and pleaded with my parents to let me have him, and after a month of it they finnaly said I could have him. Right after this happened he got better, and I was finnaly able to take him home.

Bio:
Homer, unfortunately, has to live at my parents house. He is a ferocious hunter, and loves to be outside. I live in the middle of a very busy area and I can not have an outdoor cat here. My parents live on 5 acres on a dead end dirt road. It is perfect for him

Gonzo Kitty-
embodiment of Hunter S. Thompson insanity.
If he were a person,
I could see him driving to Vegas
in a drug enduced frenzy.
His partner in crime-
a loco latino kitty, eccentric esa,
that creates the chaos-
comes up with the crimes
against human rules.
Fernetically, they run through the house,
the yard, their domaine.
Chasing everything that moves-
inciting fear in woodland creatures.
Indulging in anything that excites
their minds; late night raids
on the canned food,
over indulgence in cat nip-
inciting late night romps
through out.
Wreaking havoc on the old
lady cat-
That passionatly hates them.
They run amuck, without a care,
delighting in the madness of being Gonzo.
Hell bent on distruction,
and indulgence,
amusment,
and Anarchy.
